USC recruits itself, though. Chip Kelly hates 'cruiting as well.

I've always found this to be an odd take.

Brady had a GREAT year as LSU's passing game coordinator but that was literally his first year of offensive coaching experience and now everyone wants to make the man a head coach.

The dude has been good as Carolina's offensive coordinator but not definitely not some kind of wunderkind.

He also doesn't like to recruit which is arguably one of the biggest parts of a college head coach's job.

Downvote me to hell but 2019 was much more about Burrow, Chase, Jefferson, CEH, and the rest than it was about Joe Brady. CEH and Burrow bailed Brady and Ensminger out multiple times throughout that year.

Not saying he's a bad coach, he is a great offensive mind, just saying he probably isn't ready to be someone's head coach yet. Especially at the college level.

Yeah, Brady almost landed a NFL HC gig after just one year as OC in the league. He'll be up for plenty of NFL gigs in the near future.

Weird take when I’ve argued against a Clemson homer on this board making excuses why we lost to UGA.

What if he hires the best coordinators?

A couple of things, one the USC AD is the former AD at Cincinnati who hired Luke Fickle. So some press out there reporting that could be one target.

ESPNU as I was driving home from dinner noted that some of the USC sources (everyone has sources) that they have contacted say a segment wants a proven brand coach and Chris Petersen and Bob Stoops could be interested in getting back at a job like USC.

Now consider the enormous QB and WR talent at the programs fingertips despite a decade of poor coaching hires/performance and his play calling. We can argue over how much was talent and his coaching, but the dude dialed up the plays and came up under Sean Payton for a time.

Of the rumored targets for the program I’d much rather take a chance on Brady than them for various reasons. And USC is a long-standing NFL pipeline, particularly on offense. It makes sense, if he’s willing to do the work.

I think Fickell may be the best coach discussed, but I just don’t think USC and defensive coach or an Ohio guy. I don’t think Stoops wants to coach there or anywhere in college or else USC would have fired Helton for Stoops before now since Helton has been on the hot seat annually there.

LSUs OL won the award for best OL in 2019.

The trophy should be cut in half and each piece displayed in Burrow and CEHs homes

Stoops has been out a while, you never know he might want to get back in and USC might be a job he would go for. But I think the Fickle connection to the current USC AD seems plausible.
