On FOX Big Noon Kickoff (live at Texas, I think **ETA: they are outside of Michigan Stadium**), Urban Meyer (primarily) and Matt Leinart in disbelief that Texas A&M would:
- end the greatest Thanksgiving rivalry of all time
- end one of the greatest rivalries of CFB
- change conferences
- replace Big XII competition with LSU, Auburn, bama, MSU
- drastically have to shift recruiting philosophy
Meyer: "It literally makes NO sense"
Leinart: "Its working out real well for Texas A&M" [chuckles]

All of which can be answered easily. Long term security.
There is zero chance the SEC implodes in the next decade. The odds of the Big 12 dying on the other hand...
When Arkansas left the SWC it was for the same reason. We knew that we weren't going to be part of the proposed SWC/Big 12 merger. Our long term survival was more important than any rivalry.

How will we go on without their support

A&M headed down the same path as Arkansas.

I don't fault A&M for the move. I supported it and still do.
But it was a tough pill to swallow, competition-wise and with the shedding of tradition.
But you'll likely end up in Atlanta before Ole Miss ever does.

So dumb. WGAF what Leinart and Meyer think?
They didn’t have to live with Texas and their idiocy.

It has worked out great for us.
Our winning percentage is better in the SEC than the Big 12, the money is greater in the SEC, our home schedule is much better in the SEC, and our program exposure is much better in the SEC.
Only idiots and Texas fans question if it’s worked out for us.

Why do we care what that murder enabler thinks?

Are you confusing Matt Leinart with O.J. Simpson?

Why are you addressing that question to me? I never mentioned Urban.

Should we really blame Aggie for the 1st two? Pretty much everyone in the Big 12 has strongly considered telling Texas to frick off. And a handful actually did

Urban, not Matt.

It was a good move for them. I did miss the Texas game on Thanksgiving but to be honest I’m getting into the Egg Bowl. It’s been entertaining maybe not well played but entertaining.

"Analysts" on the network with Big 12 broadcasting rights don't like TAMU's move to the SEC?
Say it ain't so.

Why are they doing this show outside right now? There's no crowd.

I wanted you to feel like part of the conversation....like letting little kids sit at the adult table.

Everybody knows the Longwhorns killed A&M’s desire to be in the Big 12 because of income disparity. In the long run, it will eventually cause the entire conference’s demise.

You need to work on your conversation skills then.
