Defense is killing LSU’s ranking obviously.

Defense up 13 spots from one game
Let's get that rating under 30 by tourney time please

their seven wins in conference are by an average of 19.2 points and their six losses are by an average of 6.3 points. Their resume is unimpressive but I get why their efficiency ratings are high

Way too high

14 seems high for Auburn, but we have no bad losses. Also no good wins.

And why did our defensive rank drop from only giving up 63 points in regulation? That is a good defensive performance. This is why I have these metrics. They throw logic out the window and it doesn’t matter that the reason we gave up more points was because of OT. Same with all the “defensive statistics” that came out after the LSU/A&M 7OT game.

We got them right where we want them

It has nothing to do with overtime. UF plays at one of the slow paces in the country and had a relatively efficient offensive performance

For as much as TT posts about CBB, he is very unknowledgeable. Doesn't understand PER, KenPom rankings, MVP rankings. Pretty sure Waters is still his SEC MVP despite yesterday's performance.

What does KenPom have against an obvious Final Four team like LSU?
I heard Mr. KenPom is from Kentucky.

So according to this, #22 lost to #28 in overtime. Crazy stuff. Unprecedented.

We would be in a much better spot defensively if we could stay out of overtime. Our offensive ranking would probably drop some, so I guess it would balance out.

Do they even use Kenpom anymore?

Your kenpom defensive stats are measured on a per possession basis. LSU just isn’t a good defensive team

I'm not saying we are. I'm fully aware that we aren't great defensively. Just pointing out that we would likely have a much better scoring defense if we could close games out in regulation.

Probably wouldn’t affect it very much, if at all.
