A few random thoughts
-3rd place east gets you dead last in the west.
-Over 1/2 the league has already hit 20 wins
-10 Q1 wins for MSU is impressive
-On the flip side Uga & Lsu only have 2
-Vandy up to #1 RPI
-I’m still a little shocked how bad UF & UofSC are.

I know my South Carolina buddies have to be furious with this. USC is too good of a program to post a 1-6 conference record in baseball.
Georgia has really come out of the gates better then I thought they would. They are having a really solid season down there.
Meanwhile Vanderbilt and A&M are red hot right now.
I feel bad for Bama, I think their team is much improved from last year, but man do they have a mountain to climb.
Its shaping up to be another great year for baseball in the SEC.

The 20 wins already is misleading. Hell, even Alabama has 20. I kid. They are in a meat grinder that is the West.
The big story so far has to be the ineffectiveness of both Florida and Cocks. That should not happen.
LSU seems to start slowly and finish strong but this seems to be a slower start than their norm.
How about Kentucky taking one from Georgia for thimeir first conference win

It's flat out ridiculous. People pound their chest when talking about the SEC in football, but the baseball schedule in the SEC is a true meat grinder.

If we can somehow win today we'll be 6-3 in conference....that's having us taking 2/3 in every series so far including road series at Georgia and State....I'll take that every year.

The schedule doesn’t even include bad teams from the east. 12-18 is the goal in conference play. It’s that tough of a hill to climb.

That’s two fridays in a row when the opponents ace pitcher has thrown a 120+ pitch shutout. We are just getting the very best out of some of our competition which sill hopefully pay dividends later in the year but frustrating in the here and now

Thompson is bona fide. We helped the UK offense with passed balls and errors but never came close to scoring on Thompson

Vandy will win the conference because they get Bama out of the west and play all the easy teams, plus they dodge MSU from the west.
