Complete deflection from his point about UTs made up titles
Why do you care? You have never even been to a Bammer game, much less in a classroom.

Except those years when the "co-champions" BEAT YOUR arse ON THE FIELD!

1973 National Championship- AP puts Bama 4th after their bowl game loss. Bama claims a NC from the UPI poll that was taken before they met Notre Dame in the bowl game and lost. There were 3 teams with better records than Bama that year. The embarrassment of naming Alabama number one caused the UPI to name champions after bowl games. Yet Bammer has no shame in claiming it of course.
1978 National Championship- AP gives this to Alabama(11-1-0) even though USC (12-1-0) had the better record Guess who Alabama lost to that year? USC!!!!!!!!!. UPI gave the NC to USC.
"That thar other team beated us on da field...but we still is da champuns. Gots 18? ROW TARD!!!!"

USC shouldn't have lost to an unranked team 2 games after playing Alabama to drop them in the polls.
Bama then went on to beat the #1 team in the nation. USC beat the #5 team.

USC also scored a TD in the Rose Bowl without the ball. USC dropped the ball before going over and Michigan recovered. However the refs gave USC the TD anyway, that won USC the game.

A Tennessee fan trying to make fun of people over national championships is funny.
I'm guessing you don't know shite about your own.
Tennessee claims 6.
4 of those titles are math based titles in the Poll Era. 2 of those titles you lost your bowl games. And it goes as far as 1967, where Tennessee claims a national championship on a 9-2 record(1 of them a bowl loss).
The other 2 claims are AP/BCS. 1951 is an AP title, one of Tennessee's only legit titles. But guess what? You lost your bowl game.
And 1998 is the BCS, so it's legit.
So by your own logic, only 16% of the Tennesse's claimed titles are legit.
Not that it's a hell of a lot better then 33% of claimed titles that are legit, as none of those math poll claims are legit.

Tennessee claims 6.
Look at this thread. Chicken stood you insecure, little-dicked, band wagon riding cocksuckers on your heads. How? By simply pointing out your "Gots 18" claim is pure bullshite.
Go cry in the corner, Bammer bitch.

1951 Maryland was undefeated and beat the Tennessee Vols 28-13 in their bowl game. Yet the Vols have no shame claiming the AP title even though the other team had a better record and beat them straight up.

Tiny-dicked, insecure Bammers are actually kind of sad.
It wouldn't bother me one bit if they only credit Tennessee with 1998.
Why is it so important to you band wagon riders to claim all those bullshite titles? WHY? I don't get it, and neither does anyone else.
WHY? Why do you need this so bad?

Good luck getting the honest answer.
It’s okay for them to claim them, but not anyone else.

I doubt you even knew your university claimed six national championships until today. And that goes both ways, homey-g. How many Alabama fans have you seen on this board say 1941 is a legitimate national championship claim?
Posted on 8/7/22 at 5:17 pm to SavageOrangeJug
So you acknowledge that Maryland had the better record and beat Tennessee straight up and would have won the title if the polls had voted after the bowl games.
quote:
The 1951 Maryland Terrapins football team represented the University of Maryland in 1951 college football season as a member of the Southern Conference (SoCon). Maryland outscored its opponents, 381–74, and finished the season with a 10–0 record, including three shut outs, and held seven opponents to seven points or less.
It was the school's first perfect undefeated and untied season since 1893. Maryland also secured its first berth in a major postseason bowl game, the 1952 Sugar Bowl, where it upset first-ranked Tennessee under head coach Robert Neyland.

Yeah, that's why you melted for several paragraphs about how UT had so many titles.
What an idiot.

n 1983 Bammer claimed 6 NCs. You absolutely DID NOT have 6. That was bogus.
For the sake of argument we're going to say your bullshite claim was legit.
Since 1983 Bammer has won 7 legit titles. No dispute at all. 1992, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2015, 2017, 2020.
So which of those six national championships we claimed were indeed legitimate? I'm assuming you want to throw out 1973 (lost to the AP national champion in the bowl game) and 1978 (lost to the UP national champion in the regular season). Okay. Fair enough. Let's even discard 1964 since we lost our bowl game. So that leaves 1961, 1965, and 1979. Alabama was the only undefeated and untied team in 1961; Alabama was the only team in the Top 5 to win a bowl game in 1965-66; Alabama was the only team to finish undefeated and untied in 1979.
So there we go. Alabama can legitimately claim three national championships from the Bryant Era. And since we have already agreed that 1992, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2015, 2017, and 2020 are all legitimate title claims, that adds seven more to the mix which gives Alabama 10 legitimate national championship claims.
That's still more than any other team in college football.
