Good morning everyone....I know you all remember Drake....the little boy battling brain cancer who just wanted 190 cards for Christmas. Well....not only did his wish come true (he received over 100,000 cards), but we collectively raised money for him to go to the Fiesta Bowl to support his beloved LSU and to go to Disney World. Well...below is an update from his family and he is not doing well. Please keep him and the family in your prayers....

1/24/19 Drake MRI Update!!!!

I don’t even know how to write this update. I’m heartbroken for the Quibodeaux’s.

Drake’s mri results are not what we all were praying for. We do not understand why these are God’s plans for Drake, and right now we can only keep trying to find comfort in knowing God’s plans are never wrong.

Drake’s mri results showed that the tumor has grown 20% since November. The neck pain, stumbling while walking, and speech issues he has been having were all signs of tumor growth. They will no longer continue the trial he was participating in. His parents are signing DNR right now and they are contacting hospice. They are going to start Drake on steroids today and they will be talking to the radiation doctor tomorrow about possibly starting radiation again.

Please please please keep the Quibodeaux’s in your prayers! The fight is not over! We know God can still preform a miracle if it is in His plans for Drake!!!!!

While research may not heal Drake here on Earth, remember that research is key for a cure! Support research. Find a cure. Tax deductible donations may be made in Drake’s honor to support DIPG research at LINK , a national charity committed to DIPG research. #quibodeauxstrong #geauxdrake #cannonballsacrossamerica #makewavesforDIPG

My wife and I were talking about him and wondered how he was doing. So sorry the news is not encouraging. Prayers sent for Drake and his family.

Awful news. Hope the memories he was able to make brought him joy in his last bit of time here and that hospice can keep him in as little pain as possible.

Hopefully the money they raised will get research one step closer to saving the next kid.

this quote bothers me. why would you support a "higher being" that his plan is to increase the tumor size in your child and have him slowly die from cancer.

I'll get downvoted to oblivion but this shite really irritates me.

regardless, Hope he gets well and science improves and radiation works to heal him since putting your hands together to pray and sing kumbaya isn't.

I understand what you are saying, but when people lose someone(especially a young child) they are trying to make sense of it, which is not possible.

For believers, they have no choice but to surrender to God's will. Those who are unable to do so often become angry at God, and in life as well. It's sad.

I only hope and pray Drake is comfortable and pain free as possible if a miracle doesn't happen soon.
