End of season..Washington. Oklahoma, Alabama, Ohio State, Notre Dame, and Clemson all end up unbeaten. Who gets in?

Clemson's SOS is for dog dook. Might it keep them out?

Clemson is going to get the bama bump now that they have shown their consistency. If they are undefeated, they are in.

Who in that group are they going to bump with that SOS? How would the Committee justify it?

Bama, OU, Clemson, ND

Bama and OU are shooins due to schedule. ND is going to start behind OSU but they'd have wins @UGa and @UM and OSU's schedule is pretty crappy besides UM. Clemson, despite a poor schedule, is going to start in the top 2 so the committee would basically have to drop them from 1/2 to 5 after CCG wknd which just doesn't seem realistic.

I guess it's possible, but I think Clemson has developed enough cred during the CFP era that they would get in. They've already beaten three of the teams you listed in past playoffs (not counting Bama), and I think past performance does influence the committee. I believe that helped Bama get in the playoff two years ago when they didn't win their division, and I think it would similarly benefit Clemson.

Same way bama gets in without winning the conference.

I think such a scenario would end the playoff, because the Big 10 would not stand for being left out and neither would the West Coast.

They would scream like banshees at Alabama Clemson, AGAIN..and there would be a war in that committee room.

no, bama got in that year becuase they had 1 loss (to a team ranked #2 at the time) and the team they were competing against had 2 losses, 1 of which was an utter beatdown to a crappy team.

If OSU had beaten purdue, or hell maybe even just lost a close one, they are in. The committee had no choice but to put bama in that year.

And even failing to win their division.

Just drop it, laughing. The committee picked the best team and was proven right. Bama had a narrow loss to number Two, while the other choice had TWO losses and was destroyed in one of those? Please. Just please. Stop begging.

Didn’t last year. They beat our arse. And after that they are like Alabama they will get the benefit of the doubt.
