Auburn has a very good flight school...I believe Delta Air Lines has some kind of connection with your school, am I right?

Uh I doubt Auburn is the only one that has one in the SEC
But State has one in Starkville and then a commercial one between Starkville and Columbus that is used for most Athletics travels. They're actually expanding rn and it's one of the top 3 most trafficked airports per year in the state.

Auburn should have an airport. It is one of the few universities with a pilot program sponsored by airlines.

Yes, AU has the second oldest Aviation Program in the country (Purdue). If you have a son or daughter who is semi coordinated and not afraid of flying, send them to AU and they will be making in the 150K range within 10 years.

Is that why Auburn always smells like Shea Stadium? Didn't know that.

All this means is that your school is so rural that it had to build its own airport because the surrounding area couldn't support one.
Congrats.
Congrats.

Does the football team use Auburn's airport to travel to away games?

Having a flight school is very cool, actually.
Middle Georgia State University has one. UPS pumps money into these programs to help get more pilots.
More pilots means more supply of labor. And they dont have to pay the pilots as much. Delta knows smart business. Otherwise, the unions are the only ones with leverage.

No, runway is not long enough to handle 737 or larger Aircraft. Auburn charters out of Montgomery (45miles) or Hartsfield (90 miles).

There is going to be a 100K shortage of Commercial Pilots in the next 10 years. China will be paying about 250K for pilots to fill their growth. That is why the Airlines are pumping money into some college programs.
