Lane Kiffin said it best: you can complain about it and lose your job, or you can adapt.

SEC will expand to 24 teams. BIG will expand to 24 teams. 6 representatives from each conference reach playoffs. CFB playoffs TV rights will be sold for billions. Universities are about to double their TV revenue.

The rest of the 81 D1 programs will consolidate and form a second tier league. TV companies will buy it too.

Every player is being bought. 3 stars, 4 stars. 5 stars. All will be on a salary starting now.

Texas will spend over $30 million to buy the 2023 class. Maybe another $10 mil to keep the roster already in place. Ohio State will spend $13 million to keep its roster. How much is Alabama spending on players? Georgia?

This will eventually hurt college sports (football and Basketball). One difference from minor league pro football is these kids have to attend class (occasionally)

College Pro League.

And schools have to keep paying players every year just to keep them until they get smart and do 4 year contracts. The yearly thing for recruiting classes isn’t sustainable though. No one can afford to have donors put up $20 to $30 million a year.

I don’t think anyone is paying $30 million a year. I see the Rashada deal as $9.5 million over 4 years. Maybe I’m wrong…

Teams will be owned by shareholders in a public(States) + private partnership as an investment vehicle.

Think about the future business model for College Football as you see Public/private Toll Roads operating right now. Both fund it, both collect revenue and split profits.

Universities have to spin off the football operations to fund them with private money. Both parties will receive dividends.

Each state will own public universities shares.

Private investors(donors & collectives) will own a portion of shares, but not majority.

Private universities already own all their shares.

Shares will not be publicly traded.

Dividends will be payable at % of net profit established by each team owner.

Yes, it's all about money, but it won't work unless there is parity, and that means enforced regulation of NIL. It's why the NFL has a salary cap and a draft based on how good the team was that year.

More than any other factor, the money major college football generates, and will generate, is why there will be enforced NIL regulation.

I hope coaches will overtly cut players who aren't living up to the money they signed for.

Its no surprise that we're going to get the #1 class after the collectives were set up, I love this as an alumni and a fan of a program that has the most money of any program. On the other hand this is hurting the sport I love the most. I guess we signed a deal with the devil, frick!

If there's money to be made, people will do whatever they have to in order to collect. It's a capitalistic world we live in

Even if LSU had the #1 class and 25 5-stars per class I would still hate this. I am not emotionally invested like years past. I don’t see the point anymore. Just like the NFL, if my team loses, oh well
