Family has confirmed its not COVID related but it sounds pretty bad.

quote:

KSR has learned that UK Football player Chris Oats has been in the hospital in Cincinnati with a medical issue.

UK has released the following statement: Chris Oats is in the hospital due to a medical issue. The family has asked us to confirm that the issue is not related to Covid 19. Chris expected to move to a physical rehabilitation center in the near future. The family requests that their privacy be respected during this time.

Because of the request for privacy, we will not go into any further detail, but the issue is very serious. I would just ask that all UK fans please keep Chris and his family in their prayers in the coming days, weeks and months ahead.

Not gonna speculate what exactly is wrong with him but the wording makes me assume its something that will take a while to recover from.

Hoping for the best

There was a comment on the KSR post from someone who supposedly knows him that said he couldn’t say what happened but that he’s going to be ok. But he may not ever play football again. He was set to have a big year too.

I do know Cinci is known in the region for handling some more rare/severe medical issues.

I do hope he will be OK. It could be heart related, even with modern medical testing that can sneak through.

The important thing is that he seems to be doing well even if his football career is over. If he can play in the future that is great. If not that is fine. Far better to find a major medical issue and get it fixed than risk tragedy.

Just hope he can recover and have a normal life. You never know with these things. None of us can take anything for granted and should appreciate each day and love your family as though it may be the last time you see them.
