I have been waiting on this game for a couple weeks now and most of ya'll who have ever read any of my threads know this is coming from a betting perspective only and I don't really care about either fan base!

I have been stating that Auburn has been overrated all year and has literally ZERO good wins on the year. Not sure how you can claim NC State and Iowa State, but Aubie seems to cling to these 2 while UK has beaten Michigan State, Louisville and won @ Texas Tech.

I think this is a horrible matchup for Auburn and I think Wiley might be the worst big guy in the SEC and now he has to facce the UK front line. I just saw the opening line and might be broke by 5:00 Pacific time tomorrow.

Can any Kentucky fan or logical Auburn fan talk me off this game? Auburn is a 3 point favorite and I am going to bet a "package" on Kentucky $ line. I feel as strong about this game as I have about any game all year!!!

Have I misread the Auburn program and team? I am not saying they are "horrible" but I certainly don't think they are one of the Top 25 teams in the country!!

I wouldn't bet against Auburn at home, regardless of your feeling of where they're ranked.

AU Pride-

How can you like your guard matchup? None of the Auburn can shoot the 3 very well (none shoot above 30%) and now the best defensive guards in the league are coming to town.

And you virtually don't have a front line that can even compete on the glass vs Kentucky. You guys lost the rebounding battle to Iowa State and Florida and only edged out Ole Miss because their front line is somehow worse than yours.

I have watched about 10 Auburn games this year and still can't find a really good win. I get they are playing at home, but that won't faze Kentucky. Auburn would have to shoot 40% or better from 3 to keep this game close and I just don't see it happening.

There are several teams hanging around the Top 25 that don't belong and it would NOT surprise me for Auburn to lose 4 straight coming up with games vs UK, ARK LSU and Bama!

Memphis and Ohio State come to mind as extremely overrated and someone actually voted for them this week

And San Diego State being #4 is like Central Florida wanting to be in the Top 10 Ridiculous as they have ZERO wins over the Top 25

You have not misrepresented anything.

Bet everything you have on Kentucky. Borrow money against your home. It’s not possible for Auburn to win this game.

Vegas has no idea what they are doing. You are much smarter. Take YOUR shot. It’s time for you to cash in one last time.

After Kentucky wins - you will never have to work again for the rest of your life.

It’s free money. Don’t be a chicken. Go get it.

5 of 6 CBS Sports guys like the Cats straight up. What the hell value that holds I have no idea. I pretty much only gamble on horses and cards.

Two storied basketball schools clashing on a big stage.

You are blessed to watch Auburn play at home, but even more blessed to watch the clash of the College Basketball Titans of the SEC and Nation.

You’re welcome kid

Yeah, this guy is retarded. Wiley is almost averaging a double double

LINK

Austin Wiley is #2 in the SEC in rebounds and rebounds per game (9.2)

Wiley is #6 in the SEC in blocks and bpg (1.7)

Wiley leads the SEC in offensive, defensive, and total rebound percentage

Wiley is #2 in the SEC in Defensive Rating

Austin Wiley is #2 in the NCAA and leads major conference schools in Total Rebound Percentage

Kentucky is 94-20 all time against AwBarn.

Kentucky has won 35 of the last 39 v AwBarn.

Kentucky beat Awbarn 2 out of 3 last season, but you'd never know to hear them tell it.

Fun facts indeed.

Safe to say you have watched zero minutes of San Diego State this year? They’re legit. Tons of experience and a bit of an edge to them. Their schedule hasn’t been great, but if you watch them, you can see how dangerous they can be.

And they have a few decent wins, one of which is currently ranked:

@BYU (16-7) W 76-71
#18 Iowa (16-5) W 83-73
Creighton (16-5) W 83-52
@ Utah State (17-6) W 77-68
@ Utah (12-8) W 80-52
@ UNM (16-7) W 85-57

Auburn is properly rated based on what has happened so far, but may be over rated projecting the season forward.

quote:

ZERO good wins on the year
MSU on the road is probably the best win. AU has a few quality wins, but nothing special in that department.

quote:

horrible matchup for Auburn
Agree due to guard play.

quote:

I think Wiley might be the worst big guy in the SEC
I've been down on Wiley in the past and he still has lots of limitations, but he has actually transformed himself into a quality player. He is better about defending without fouling and rebounding than before. He also gets to the line and makes his free throws.

Auburn rarely loses at home. It's the only logical talking point I'll make.

Probably a little bit, but UK can't lose.

I mean UK just beat a better Texas Tech team on the road in a environment just as hostile as Aubies.. They'll do it again. I'm with OP, no way should Auburn be favored. Aubie had a better team last year and couldnt knock the cats off at home then either.

They also just struggled with Vandy at home.

I agree with this though.

Auburn beat the cats in a neutral site game last year. Both teams are different, so I'm not sure it has any relevance to today's game.

Eta: it looks like some books have it at-3.5; go get your bread

call me crazy but over the last few years ive noticed a higher focus level from Cal coached teams in away hostile environments. Where as at home, its almost a disadvantage for them especially in games like the one against Vandy where the crowd is restless adding more pressure. I have no dog in this fight just looking for a good game.. But still no clue why Auburn is favored
