UCLA let Fresno go 75 yards in 33 seconds to beat them at the end of the game, 40-37.

Its amazing the game was even close. Fresno had the ball for more than 40 minutes, had nearly 200 more yards of offense, and ran nearly 40 more plays.

CFP playoff teams don't lose at home to G5 teams.

Where does this put you, LSU?

I don’t think you’ll find many LSU fans that think we’re going anywhere big this year. Maybe if we continue to improve vs miss state. But we still have a ways to go.

I think it puts them at 2-1, 0-0 in the SEC

They have talent and they looked to have improved, at least marginally. I don’t think they’ll challenge for the west but they could ruin some Saturday’s for sure.

Damn, you mean LSU’s RPI won’t be high enough to get them in the playoffs?

They are still celebrating the UF close loss.

This is so typical UCLA. They tend to win the big non-conference games (Tennessee, TX A&M, LSU) and then lose to lesser opponents. Happens almost every year.

Very true. UCLA's not been the same since Donahue left (now deceased).

I'm just being light-hearted this morning, that's all. LSU's going to be fine and wouldn't it be something if Oregeron pulls the Houdini and the Tigers rose up and won the West this year (beating Bama of all things)? Who knows.

Yep, UCLA got up for LSU. Same for Pedo U last night against Auburn. Same for us against Texas. Sometimes you just have a target on your back and the team just doesn't rise to the occasion.

I honestly have no idea how this season is gonna end. Outside UGA and Bama I think any team could beat any other on any given Saturday. UGA and Bama haven't looked unbeatable either. Gonna be a Mashup and a fun year I think.

Fresno State’s a really good football team and Kalen Deboer is an outstanding coach. A Power 5 team is going to hire him in the next few years and hit a home run hiring that guy.

- Fresno State is pretty decent. Lost 31-24 to Oregon week 1.

- Most rational LSU fans realized the UCLA loss was not going to age well. They're an average football team and that was a very bad loss.

If Fresno’s starting QB Haener was on a bigger team, he’d be high up on the heisman watch list. Tells you a lot when you don’t see his name up there.

Fresno State is no lesser opponent. They have beaten UCLA 4 straight times, 3 on the road in the Rose Bowl. The game should not have been close. Fresno totally dominated every statistic. The refs kept UCLA in the game with several calls that should be investigated. Similar bad calls allowed Oregon to come back and beat them. Fresno State is legit. They would be near the top of the P12.

The QB, Haener was incredible. One of the single best college performances you will ever see. I encourage you o watch that game. It is an instant classic.

UCLA losing to that performance has zero bearing on LSU.
