...and LSU was still a dropped pass from hanging 44.

UGA stopped the run, contested passes, and we still made plays and found the right mismatch.

I almost feel sorry for the defense OU is about to roll out there in Atlanta.

I'm still nervous. Anything can happen with 3 weeks to prepare for one team

What if Fromm connected on that first bomb?

(Besides another failed Kirby-bump, of course)

Yeah, I’m not overconfident against anybody right now. This is a year where four excellent teams made the playoff. We get the weaker of the three opponents, but they also have a QB who’s never lost to us.

Didn't UGA drop a few huge passes too?
I always hate fans that are like "hey if we did everything perfectly and simply ignore the other teams dropped passes/penalties, etc" argument.

LSU is a good team but I don't think you're going to steamroll OU. LSU's fanbase is a little too cocky.
It's funny to me that everyone wanted to be #1. Why?
Ain't nobody wanted to play Clemson.

That's telling to me.

They would have lost 37-17.

Or something close to that.

As long as Joe is healthy, I feel like LSU can score anytime it needs to.

I really don't care what it tells you. It's called common sense. Being #1 allows LSU to only have to get 1 win against OSU/Clem, not 2.

LSU won't overlook OU. FYI, I don't play for the team. I can overlook.

It should tell you that Clemson is vastly superior to Oklahoma, but that's obvious

This. Georgia tried to play contain on a few occasions and not rush hard and he sat back and picked them apart. When UGA got aggressive and rushed him, he just juked the rusher and ran for 20 yards or bought time and hit the open receiver.

Hard to play good defense when your offense can't sustain drives.

If LSU comes in prepared and on their game they beat OU by 40. OU is in by weakness of schedule. They struggled with some bad teams this year and their only good wins are vs the same team...who also struggled vs shitty teams all year.

LSU - 55 OU 17

The scheme for SEC Championship was really bad by Smart
UGA panicked and thought they had to change their entire defense.
It was the top defense in the country we were told
It didn't work

Really? You think that big of a win?

I could see it:
LSU: 34
OU: 21

Jalen and CeeDee lamb will drop at least 2-3 TD's on LSU. Now, I think Burrow drops probably 3-4 on OU. OU's only shot is to contain Burrow on 3rd and medium/longs. Much easier said than done though.

Wow, this is the LSU line for so many years and absolutely true. When you leave your defense out there too long and too many times, they just can't keep it up no matter how good of a unit they are.

Lamb is the real deal. As long as LSU can keep a spotter on Hurts, I am not too concerned about him rushing for a ton. However, Lamb can wreck some shite every time he touches the ball.
