The highest point spread in history occurred in 1971 when UGA was favored over the Gators by 21 points. Georgia won that game, 49-7.

Florida's gonna come at us like they did Alabama...so Dawgs, buckle up tight. We HATE them. They HATE us.

This'll be WAR!

14.5 is the biggest spread in series history? Really?

Did you read the subject line? "2nd-highest".

There is literally no way that is true. I know for a fact we were 20 point underdogs in 97 (and ended up winning by 20). And I guarantee that in 94-96 Florida was probably favored by damn near 30

Per Oddshark the line was Florida -19 in 1995.

1997 was Florida -18.5

2001 was Florida -19

2009 was Florida -16.5

That doesn’t sound right. Florida was beating the literal dawg shite out of UGA at times in the late 90s under Spurrier. I remember Donnan couldn’t beat Florida or Tech and that was his undoing.

Info is per UGA S.I. and UGA sports historian, Patrick Garbin.

But, I'm not going to argue about it. Doesn't really matter, just interesting.

Some other info that's interesting..........

-- At 14.5 pt favorites, it means the Bulldogs have around an 85% chance to win the contest.

-- Georgia has been a two-touchdown favorite or more 61 times since the 2010 season. They are 59-2 in those contests straight up (2016 Vanderbilt, +14; 2019 South Carolina, +21).

-- The Gators are one of only five teams since 2010 to upset the Bulldogs as a double-digit underdog. That result came in 2014 when Will Muschamp and the Gators stunned No. 9 Georgia in Jacksonville by racking up 418 yards rushing and only attempting six passes all day. That is the most rushing yards the Bulldogs have given up in a game since 2010.

-- That game stands as the only time a double-digit underdog has won the game this century. Only one other time since 1990 has a double-digit underdog won the game outright - in 1997 when Robert Edwards and the Dawgs shocked Steve Spurrier and the Gators. Georgia defensive back Kirby Smart had two interceptions that day. Georgia was listed as an 18.5-point underdog in that contest.

No, he's not. His contract is up at the end of the season. Translation, He gone.

My bad, WG...I "misread", my apologies. Our 14.5 spread is the 2nd highest point spread by the Bulldogs over the Gators.

In my haste (I'm typing fast and trying to do 3-4 things at once), I misread his tweet.
