Missouri definitely played us much better than TCU. So did Florida, Mississippi State, Auburn, Kent State, and Samford for that matter. I don’t know how to explain what happened out there tonight to be honest.

No of course not. That game was a noon kickoff against a basement dweller team that our 3rd string should beat. For them, they had a chance to knock off the top team in the land and establish some momentum.

Tonight TCU ran into a buzz saw. Kirby is a master motivator and he used the close OSU game to fire our kids up to their top potential, and TCU just never had a chance to match our talent playing at their best.

No.

And neither was Kentucky or Kent State. Georgia just didn’t get up for bad teams.

On their field, on that day, yes. They actually gave Georgia a game for 3 quarters. In L.A., under the bright lights, Georgia beats any team in college football.

Plus we’ve seen games get away from teams and turn into blowouts. Once TCU scored and we immediately answered and then snagged a pick, they knew they had to be perfect from that point on which takes them off their game.

It's not black and white. TCU just matched up poorly against UGAs strengths, while Missouri matched up well.

Matchups matter, and is why the transitive property has to be applied with caveats.

Georgia was a match up issue for TCU at every single position group.

TCU is a good team. Georgia was just their kryptonite.

They had a better game plan, but not a better team.

It is very difficult to play up to full strength each game in the SEC. Georgia didn't play as well and Missouri the opposite. Close games are bound to happen.

TCU (and Kansas State) would both have lost multiple games in the SEC. Was Missouri better? No, but they probably weren't as far behind as the rankings would suggest.

Congrats to UGA on the NC. And glad they exposed TCU.
