Love baseball but dont really follow it as close as I do football. But can someone explain to me why UGA baseball isn't better than it is. Given the talent in the state of Georgia.

Y’all are getting better again. Had a pretty good season last year and should do pretty good again this year. I remember when UGA was really good at baseball in the mid 2000s. LSU vs UGA in baseball was always a huge series in those days

Perno had really high highs and low lows before. But this guy seems to have it going. They should be very good again for the second straight year.

Assume because a majority of that talent is going straight to the pros. Baseball seems to be a tricky sport to recruit.

True. LSU is constantly good though.

Y'all are ranked #13. What more do you want? I'm watching the game right now.

I honestly don't mean this as a dig to UGA, but I really feel like we say this about every sport.

I mean it’s LSU. The name alone is able to sustain success in Baton Rouge. Georgia is a great place to play baseball though. I think the Dawgs are building towards success again

Who ever is operating the camera for this game is terrible. Making the game hard to watch.

"Given the talent in the State of Georgia"... If I had a Nickel

What UGA fans never understand is you still have to have an elite recruiter to keep that extra 10% in state, which for example, is what they have in Kirby Smart. There are about 10 major colleges all within short distance from the Atlanta metro area that are always going to compete for those guys.

Same reason UGA has not had consistent winners in MBB. Poor facilities, no school emphasis on the sport, and mediocre coaching. UGA has not built up the rapport with good hiogh school programs that schools like LSU or State have.

the talent in the state of Georgia.

The best go pro. The next best go to LSU. The rest are spread across UGA, GT, Auburn, Clemson and FSU.
