47 of the top 100 players on 247 (give or take 1-2) signed with one of five schools:

- Georgia
- Alabama
- Clemson
- LSU
- Ohio State

7 of the top 10 teams are SEC schools. Kudos to TAMU, AU, UF, and UT.

Let's come together for an e-SEC hug and bond over the fact that we are superior

Every time I see stats like these I’m amazed teams like Wisconsin stay competitive.

This just makes me realize college football ain't gonna be around in it's current form much longer. My God. How does an Iowa State or Arizona justify continued investment in a sport that's dying outside the southeast and a couple of outliers?

Pruitt's done a nice job of flipping the roster. Including transfers his last 2 classes have included:

247 composite:
4 - 5 stars
24 - 4 stars

He's hit on just about every position with the exception of an elite RB. Gray may turn into one, but he didn't have the hype on a national level that a guy like Evans or one of the other elite backs in this class would command. imo that's the next big piece to fill

Easy math- they don't play teams like UGA, LSU, and Bama....or AU, UF. They play teams with similar talent until they hit tOSU.

They still profit from the sport and increase the school's profile.

CFB is different than it was two decades ago, and it will change again. It was never going to continue in its current form for a multitude of reasons. However, the monetary imoplications of the South's dominance isn't one of those reasons because this system has resulted in increased revenue for everyone involved (save the players . . . until recently . . . maybe).

Either way it's a damned good day to be a Dawg.

It is going to get even more skewed when the CBS contract runs up. College football will revolve around the SEC.

Put them in the SEC and see if they remain competitive!

College football is becoming a southeastern sport with a few competitive outliers in other regions.

Traditional blue bloods like USC and Michigan are losing ground fast in terms of facilities, revenue, fan support.

Yet Oklahoma will continue to have a much better shot at the playoffs because of their conference.

One of these isn't close to the others Michigan is a top 5 revenue producer and doesn't lack in facilities

A couple of things:

1. Schedule. They don't play the strongest schedule year over year compared to SEC teams.

2. Their team talent according to 247 is ranked 33 in the nation. The thing about their talent is they stick around. They are probably tops in the nation with 5 year seniors. That means you have a lot of experience starting and you've culled the older inferior talent that is taken over by the younger superior talent to meet the 85 team scholarship threshold.

Jr. recruiting is a big deal. Coach O was very successful at convincing juniors to stay their senior year in 2019. That was a key factor for LSU's natty run. Whiskey doesn't have a junior attrition problem.

They are in the Big Ten West, and normally get the shite kicked out of them when they play a great team.

USC could jump right back into the middle of things with proper administrative support which they are lacking right now. Unitil then look for Bama and LSU to pull top west coast talent to those schools while USC is down.
