UGA needs to let their nut sack drop and schedule the little country school up the road in Clemson S.C. That would be a showcase for both schools and a blast for both groups of fans. I can assure you Dabo ain't the hold up there, he ain't timid. Or the rebounding Longhorns under Herman. Or Ohio St. Or Michigan or Penn St. Don't do a one off like Oregon or UCLA. Go ahead on and take on Southern Cal. Scared money can't win.

you mean the team we've played a home/home with every decade since conferences expanded? A team we've played 20 more times than we've played tennessee?

I'm sorry but those are some horrible games. UGA is a top team in the strongest conference. Go find the best teams in the other conferences and destroy them. Not some middle of the pack teams

penn state and duke (lol) are the only 2 that I can recall. Granted they've played some high profile kickoff classic games, as this one is, although it rarely seems like the teams they play are good at the time. Not a slight to bama either, considering these games are scheduled years in advance. But I mean clemson, usc, fsu, louisville, michigan, etc were all worse than what they were supposed to be.

But yeah overall I agree...bama can tout a lot of things over a lot of people, but playing high profile OOC games home/home damn sure isn't one. Not to mention, UGA has a P5 OOC game every year so to add another one is basically handicapping us. UF and SC are in the same boat. Bama, AU, LSU, UT, etc all don't have that issue so those teams actually SHOULD be scheduling P5 OOC games every year.

Not really. We have played Clemson so much that it's not much different than playing Carolina or Tech. Plus their fans are about as annoying in person as they are online.

UCLA and UVA are high profile?

Duke is probably better than UVA and UCLA.

I'd be for it.

Or Ohio St.

Tried that and Meyer pussed out.

Or Michigan or Penn St.

Fine with either of these as well.

In 09 Bama opened with Virginia Tech who went 10-3 and finished #10

In 2012 Bama opened with Michigan who went 8-5 and finished #24

In 2015 Bama opened with Wisconsin who went 10-3 and finished #21

In 2016 Bama opened with USC who went 10-3 and finished #3/#5

where did I say UVA is high profile? And yeah, UCLA is undoubtedly a high profile home/home game, are you insinuating it isn't?

Since the saban era began we've had home/homes with Ok. State, Colorado, Clemson, Arizona State, and currently in the middle of the Notre Dame leg. Those are far more notable than bama's OOC h/h schedule.

you left off the first big one that kicked off this run, 08 clemson who started top 10 but finished 7-6 and unranked. VT was a good one. '12 michigan was a joke that should have been unranked. '15 wisconsin pulled the same shtick they always do by feasting on nobodies, they didn't beat one single ranked team all season..and only even PLAYED two of them! The USC one was a good one for sure, I misspoke earlier and thought that was one of their crap years. And then last year's FSU that went 7-6.

Sooooo to recap, in these 6 kickoff classic games, only 2 of them were actually worth a damn, 09 vt and '16 sc. Which is basically what I said, that the teams yall play in these games aren't nearly as good as they're supposed to be.

Not to mention again, yall don't play any P5 OOC home/homes. Or haven't in a while anyway. .

"why don't you man up and play a REAL ooc team like we do??" -old man jim

"We really have the best OOC home/homes don't we folks?" - LSU fans

I've learned to ignore both parties.
