I didn't realize UGA lost so many players. If Mullen can find a QB, I like his chances.

agree.
Kirby did amazing but UGA is losing talent on defense especially.

They'll still be tough. Kirby is recruiting well enough that even if they take a small step back this year, next year they will be lights out.

LOL

You realize we just played mullen last year with one of their best QBs ever and beat them down by like 30 points right? You think mullen is going to take over a team we just beat 42-7 and in 1 year turn them around that quick?

Roquan is the biggest loss for us. The RBs will hurt (obviously) but it's not like we hurt at the position.

I love posts like this though. Under Richt you NEVER saw threads like this, it was always "lol same ol georgia!". Now it's "I think I see a way that maybe some other teams can hopefully sneak in and find a way to win the east over uga this year".

It's fear, plain and simple. People realize kirby aint richt.

The door may be open but we are in a hospital bed that's too wide to fit through. It's going to take some time.

They lose quite a bit but they're injecting some good talent, too. It will definitely be a big test for Kirby to coach them up and maintain momentum.

- Gus returns a solid team with Stidham being the glue and a couple of great back ups (finally). OL could be an issue unless some young guys really outdo themselves.

- LSU has an extremely passionate coach that the players will ball out for. Interested to see how O does in year two.

- Alabama reloads and probably features Tua as the #1 from the start. Awesome talent; we'll see if he can sustain an entire season like Hurts.

- UF under Mullen should show signs of a resurgence almost immediately. Mullen has a lot of speed to work with.

Next year should be a fun year in the SEC.

We can have a decent season but I wouldn't put us as favorites by any means. I hear Scarlett is coming back and Jefferson and Grimes are being cleared(Jefferson confirmed). So we def have added some skill on offense. Issue will be the new defense. We will let up a lot of points in a few games.

Why so defensive? Because an Aubie posted it?

Probably not that quick, but Mullen will utilize the strengths he had better than McElwain.

Georgia's closest game against the east was probably 30 points. Nobody is closing that gap in one year....especially when Georgia has their quarterback returning

Talent at UF is not equal to talent at Miss State

UF has more. Even after Mac's recruiting, we have more. Mullen will be fine.

With UGA losing 146 seniors, the East is Florida's for the taking.

What if I told you that a team once lost to another team 40-17 and then just 3 weeks later beat that same team 28-7?

The key to any team in the SEC is a decent QB. Mullen has proven he can develop a QB.

Emory Jones is about to destroy Georgia. Think Mayfield, but with a defense.

Mullen seems to be recruiting well. Something a lot of people were questioning. A couple of years Florida should be really tough again. 3 at most.

Georgia is going to suck when attrition hits. See Muschamp between 2012-2013. The down slide has started.

Which makes them a contender. The problem has been most of the teams in the East do not have a decent QB. It was especially true for the better programs (TN, UF), and it made the road easier for UGA to play a Freshman QB.
