Congrats Gators.

Florida is definitely #1 again overall athletically.
I would say the Top SEC schools' Overall M&W Athletic Programs TODAY are:
1. Florida
2. LSU (Football, Baseball, Track, Gymnastics,
Softball, Golf, W Basketball, etc.)
3. Georgia
4. Texas A&M
5. Ole Miss
6. South Carolina
7. Tennessee
8. Vandy
9. Arkansas
10 Auburn
11 Mizzou
12 Kentucky

I'd trade one of our basketball titles for just 1 more SEC title in football. No joke.

You're frickin nuts. We don't really have a lot of basketball titles to spare. A basketball title for an SEC title?

Considering UK had a down year in men's basketball and they had the worst football team they still managed to finish in 4th place!

#1 Florida -- 9.50
#2 Georgia -- 8.43
#3 LSU -- 7.86
#4 Kentucky -- 7.64

Imagine where they will be next year if Stoops can go 6-6 and Cal can bring home another NC. The only thing really dragging UK down is their women's sports where they are in the bottom half of the conference. Uk may not be the richest school but they are probably getting the best return in invested capital.

I don't think people realize how hard it is to consistently be at the top of 16 sports in the SEC every year.

it's easy to be good at one sport(bama) just put all your eggs in one basket. We have just as many football national championships as you in the last 20 years. yours are just more recent. try winning those and dominating other sports... you couldn't.

we do this year in year out and we're still at the top of the two major sports, football and basketball.

hats off to Foley.

If Alabama keeps winning football championships I'm pretty sure their fans wouldn't care if they never won a single title in anything else ever again.

Apologies if I'm lost; but your link is for last year/2012. Is an updated version available for 2013?

He has done a good job but it has to be easier when you have an extra 40 million each and every year to outspend a school like UK.

data from a few years ago (like 2010 or 2011?)

Alabama 124 million
Florida 123 million
LSU 106 million
Auburn 104 million
Tennessee 103 million
Georgia 92 million
Arkansas 92 million
Kentucky 85 million
USC 84 million
Vandy 56 million
State 50 million
Ole Miss 49 million

We only love the sports we excel in.

When was the last time Florida had 90k fans show up for a track meet?

Are you trying to say you do? Or just justifying Bama being a one sport team? It's ok if you are.

16 sports. 4 national titles last year. Since when is winning the top prize in 25% of the sports you compete in ¨being good at one sport¨? Also, it´s not ¨easy to be good at one sport¨ when that one sport is football. You know, the most competitive of all of them. Are you retarded? That´s not a rhetorical question - I´m literally asking if you are retarded.

Interesting number choice. Did you pick it because literally any other 5-year denomination (5, 10, 15, 25, 30, etc. all the way back to when college football was formed) would have yielded a different result? Yeah, I think you did.

Congrats to Foley, IMO, the best AD in the SEC. However, I'd be careful about beating my chest if I were you. The national opinion is still that Alabama and LSU are the bellcows for SEC athletics.
