Now they are the only school to have a top 10 Academic program and Athletic program.

They are the GOAT SEC school. The rest of you can carry on.

If you are counting questionable NCs in football, why not credit UF with the 1984 Championship. 22 publications did and the 1985 Championship, they were the best team in the nation, under Bama rules that qualifies.

So 5 NCs in football, 2 in basketball and 1 in baseball + 21 other team national championships.

UF is the all sports God of the SEC! SEC all sports champion 26-30 years.

OK, you can count those. However if you are going to count those, then Alabama's count increases to 28. Alabama only counts the NC won after WWII won in the major polls (AP, UPI, BCS, playoffs) that everybody acknowledges.

However during that time Alabama had won some publication titles (like you are talking about with Florida.) Just a few years that Alabama could count 1946, 1966, and 1977.

This says Alabama has won 28 NC, but it stops at 2012, and we both know that Alabama has won more since..

Haven't checked lately. LSU is the ONLY SEC program with double digit SEC titles in football, basketball, baseball and track& field.

Number 6 PUBLIC school. Still a great school and much better than most SEC schools but not a top ten university

But UCLA though! Is there a more glamorous school?

Number one public school, tucked away in one of the most desirable areas of the second largest metropolitan area in the country, and like UF, championships in the three major sports including the greatest collegiate dynasty in history, school colors that just scream Southern California, and an alumni list that includes; Jim Morrison, Francis Ford Coppola, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, James Dean, John Williams, Ben Shapiro, Tim Robbins, Carol Burnett...

The SEC should at least extend an invite, no?

Florida is still new money, but we have really had a strong balanced athletic department over the last 30 years, really 40. Now if we could just figure out women's basketball.

Not to hijack the thread, but am I biased because we suck or is women's basketball the hardest sport to watch? It just looks like such a struggle out there.

Back on topic, we have had plenty of struggles lately, like the football team being lost in the woods for 10 years after Tebow graduated. Also the basketball team has struggled to stay near the top of the conference since Billy left. And our baseball team had a shite year in 2018.

So while I appreciate our accomplishments, this league will give you a good beating if you don't bring your A game on a daily basis.

I'll give UF credit when it is due. They are much higher on the national list #30 than LSU #153.

They have also had a lot of success between Basketball, Baseball, Football as well. They are no slouch.
