With A&M right on the edge of hosting/not hosting, I started looking at who else in in the mix.

UC Santa Barbara has a really interesting case. They're a ridiculous 42-7 with an RPI of 13. That should be a lock, right?

We'll their schedule has some significant holes.

Record vs top 25: 0-0
Record vs top 25-50: 0-0
Record vs 200+: 13-2 (15 games!)
SOS: 158

They shouldn't even be considered. Coming into the weekend LSU has 17 top 50 wins and they haven't even played a game vs a top 50 team.

Should they even be a 2 seed with this schedule?

It will be interesting to see where this goes. A&M really opened a door with this Arkansas series win. I think Ole Miss is probably out as a result at this point and A&M and LSU might both host, not something I can say I was expecting going into this weekend

I’d put A&M and Lsu in as hosts. The probably is there is going to be SEC in the top 4 and in the bottom 4. So we may see some all SEC supers.

I think going into this we were predicted to go back to Fayetville. As hard as it would be I think that would be a great super especially since I think we already broke their attendance record earlier this season

Supposedly, they are bidding to host a regional in Vegas. If A&M doesn't host, that's where I want to go.

Last time they did it at Lake Elsinore.

The minor league team that plays at Lake Elsinor is at home that weekend, so they had to find an alternative.

It would be cool to have it in Vegas, but thats 300-400 miles away.

ULL went 50-4 in softball with a similar RPI and they shipped them to Oxford. I bet UCSB ends up a 2 seed at one of the PAC 12 regionals.

UCSB is a lock to host as long as they win the games these next two weekends.

14-2 vs quadrant 2
16-3 in conference
11 wins in a row

The other teams in the Big West kind of screwed them. Fullerton, Long Beach, and Irvine are usually good baseball schools, but all are down this year and only Irvine even has a chance to back into a spot in a regional.

The committee will always look at northern and western schools different and give them host regionals so the SEC/ACC and the rest of the south dont have them all. Plus, having the regional in the new park in Vegas would be a huge win for the committee.

Id expect a top SEC team to be put in Vegas with them.
