What the coach at UAB has done this year should be National Coach of the Year credentials.
7-2 after the program shut down and he had to rebuild from scratch. Dude's a winner. Ole Miss should hire him.

Bill Clark, former Prattville coach who built them into a program that was better than Hoover at the time that he left.
What Clark has done at UAB is amazing. They need a new stadium.
ETA: Also crazy to think four programs in Alabama are being coached by guys who were HS head coaches not that long ago (Malzahn, Clark, John Grass and Joey Jones).

Prattville was never a better program than Hoover. They were on par for about 4-5 years. Clark is going to make whatever SEC school takes a chance on him look very smart.

He won back to back titles in 2006 and 2007. He left to be DC at South Alabama in 2008.

They deserve it, and so does Birmingham. They need to scrap the current proposal and start from scratch. Personally I would create a modern replica of Legion Field.

Nobody advocated for their shuttering. They were siphoning of 21 million a year. Troy does it with 7 million a year. They were just tired of throwing good money at a program that couldn't draw as many fans as Hoover High.
