UA #29 rushing offense, LSU #37. I just don't think it's at all likely that LSU can consistently move the ball enough to score enough points to beat UA this year. No offense (ha) intended to you reasonable LSU fans. It's the silly trash talking fans to whom I am talking. And yes, we do all have them. Hell, I used to do it till I realized how goofy it is
Dude you are completely LSU obsessed...relax go stalk Tennessee, I think Alabama is playing them this week.

Yes we know, we know Alabama is the greatest team ever LSU doesn't stand a chance

Stats don’t mean shite when Bama comes to Tiger Stadium.

We have MS first though. Don’t care about y’all just yet

GTFOH! Go rewatch ANY fricking LSU/Bama game in Tiger Stadium!

I watched them all previously and I believe Bama won those games. The players on the field play the game not the screaming fans. The time of day has no bearing. The better team wins irrespective of location. Bama has been the better team and has a winning record at Tiger Stadium.

For the record, LSU ranks #33 in total defense, and UA is #16.

Again, it’s due to our schedule. And when this D has come ready to play they are tough as nails.

I haven't reviewed the offensive stats for the teams you have played, but my guess is it isn't that impressive. I know Auburn isn't. UF beat LSU and they're no offensive juggernaut.

So, your point is that there is no competitive advantage for LSU playing in Tiger Stadium on a Saturday night, right? Ever been?

Not as far as Bama is concerned.

Awesome. This thread proves how vital the Te11essee “rivalry” is to your existence. Competitive scheduling balance be damned. Quit looking ahead and focus on the tremendous task at hand.

stats are stupid but you realize this early in the season that getting 50-60 dropped on you (mostly in the first half) will dump your stats right?

We give up. Someone please call the LSU AD office and ask them to please cancel the game November 3rd. It’s already been decided that Alabama has won the game.

so, for Bama (only), it's the same level of difficulty to beat LSU in T-town as it is in BR? You're argument is BS. You're basing it off of results and basically telling me that LSU is not a hard place for Bama to play. I mean you're wrong, dude. Ask Vegas!

They can be a good indicator, as long as you consider all factors.

Average Total/Scoring Offense of Opponents:

Bama
Total - 46th
Scoring - 64th

LSU
Total - 56th
Scoring - 41st

Average Total/Scoring Defense of Opponents:

Bama
Total - 88th
Scoring - 93rd

LSU
Total - 37th
Scoring - 34th

Bama Opponent's Overall Record: 22-24
LSU Opponent's Overall Record: 33-15

Look at the discrepancy in the defenses that have been faced and the overall win-loss.

There was a thread started last year by a Bama fan who did a lot of numbers crunching. It was a great, unbiased thread. He laid out how LSU always holds Bama to far below its usual stats (yards, points, etc.) when playing at Death Valley.

Yes, Bama has gotten the win, but it's anything but easy. He made a very cogent argument as to how road games at LSU are more difficult for Bama than any other.

I don't expect mouth breather fans to appreciate or acknowledge that.

I agree with that. Actually home and away, the UA vs LSU game is nearly always a good and competitive one.

I've seen multiple spread passing teams think they can put up the same video game passing numbers on LSU that they did on their previous cupcakes. It just doesn't happen. Bama's switch to a spread you out passing attack plays right into our defense's strengths. Saban is going to regret making the switch after a couple turnovers in the first half.
