Auburn fans.... would you rather

the 1993 Auburn Tigers enter the post-season to compete for a title without probation. Undefeated, the #2 Auburn Tigers take on the #1 Seminoles in the 1994 Orange Bowl.

or

the 2004 Auburn Tigers win the BCS equation over Oklahoma, and face Pete Carroll's #1 USC Trojans and their Heisman QB Matt Leinart in the Orange Bowl.

Alabama fans

would you rather undo....

2010 "The Camback"
Freshman AJ McCarron leads a plucky drive in the dying minutes to win the game for Alabama, sending Auburn out of the national championship.

or
2013 "Kick Six"
Alabama moves on to the 2013 SEC Championship and then on to the face FSU in the Rose Bowl for a shot at a 3rd consecutive title.

I don't know about the 93 Noles, but I don't know if anyone was going to be able to beat USC in 2004.

You never know though, the 05' USC team was thought to be even better until they ran into Vince Young.

2010, keep the Nick Saban era free of Auburn titles?
2013, beat Jamies?

I can come up with arguments for either.

Obviously the Kick 6. We already had two losses going into the Iron Bowl in 2010.

Yeah that Bama one is tough. You'll be seeing Kick Six for the rest of your life, but denying Auburn a title would have been solid.

Auburn one is good too, but I'd take 2004. Being in college that year, it just sucked those guys didn't get their shot, whether they would have beaten USC or not.

This team gets more hype because of the NFL draft rather than their actual playing ability. They were very beatable

2010. Without a doubt.

What's one more national title.... except to teams that hadn't sniffed one in 50 years

Interesting

Had Auburn won in 1993

that would have made 2010, their SECOND time winning a title directly after an Alabama title.

And it isn't even close. Better chance for the situation to end in hardware for us.

frick you for reminding me of these games.

To answer your question: logically it had to be the kick 6. It kept Bama from making the SECG & a shot of the BCSNCG.

I dislike the Camback more but that game wasn't as impactful to post season play.

Kick 6 was an awesome play and the environment was off the charts.

I would much rather have had a shot at USC. In '93, even if we had been able to win the west, we would have had to rematch with Florida in the SECCG. I wouldn't want to have to face a Spurrier led Gator team for a second time, especially after beating them once already.

A better question for Bama fans might be winning the 2010 game, or winning the 2013 game, but losing to FSU.

In other words, a choice between ending the Auburn NC season vs another SEC title.

I think you still have to chose 2013.

If Mike DuBose can beat Florida twice, I have faith in you 93 Tigers.

3 Nattys in a row would have been ridiculous.

This. I don't think we beat that USC team, but that 2004 team deserved a shot more than Oklahoma.

1993 we were on probation, but in 2004 we got snubbed. I think 2004 would have had a good shot at USC. Most talented Auburn team I've ever seen.
