A little late but wanted to share my thoughts on my Alabama game experience. This was my first away game other than going to the LSU/Georgia Tech Peach Bowl back in the 90's when I was a kid. Drove up that morning and left same day, so have no real thoughts on Tuscaloosa in general. In stadium experience was absolutely awesome. Sat lower bowl around the 15. Alabama fans around us were mostly great. One 40 something year old Alabama woman 2 rows ahead of us was a psycho count the whole game and was furious at my buddy for cheering when LSU was on D and whenever big plays would happen. Multiple Alabama fans around us apologized for her. Chalk that up to crazy bitch syndrome. All fanbases have those in spades. Had a brief altercation with a rather rednecky Bama fan when we arrived who refused to get out of our seats. Cops resolved that one.

Best game I've ever been to and I was at LSU/Florida in 2007. Obviously the first half was awesome as an LSU fan. When Bama started making the second half comeback that stadium was absolutely rocking. The thought of another heartbreaking loss in this series was haunting me at this stage of the game. Looking around the stadium at the end of the 3rd and early 4th was an awesome thing to behold. No mistreatment from Bama fans other than psycho lady in the stadium. Folks shook our hands and wished us well as they filed out the stadium. Alabama has a pretty damn spectacular in-stadium experience. Would absolutely recommend it.

This is coming from an LSU fan who absolutely hates Alabama.

Great game and beautiful gameday experience in Bryant-Denny. My heart has softened a little towards the Gumps.

It was prob that same woman that dove over 2 rows of seats trying to punch that opposing teams fan in the sugar bowl that one year. What a classless bunch they are. Don't even get me started on the trashy bama fans bc I could go on all day long. My God they're trashy. Sure, they're cool when they are besting your team, but when they lose, their true colors are shown time and time again. RTWFU?!

Wish you could’ve been there longer. I stayed in Hoover and the Birmingham area was gorgeous with fall colors and mountains. We picked a legendary game to go to

I had bought tickets unknowingly in the bama section in 2014 when Gameday was in Oxford and we upset them...

my friend and I were the only 2 OM people in that section. and after the game I can't tell you how many of them did the same to us.

In a day of unforgettable moments, that one was one of the more surprising.

Anything that’s mildly hilly looks like mountains to us Louisianians we live in nature’s ditch

This was my ninth time in Tuscaloosa for the LSU game. Other than a few random instances, it has always been a blast. Bama fans IRL are amazing folks. I wish more people here would get off the internet and experience it (I feel the same for LSU fans and the BR gameday experience.) Some of my fondest memories are from times in that town and with those people.

Stay longer in Ttown next time. It's a lot of fun and Friday night before the game is the pinnacle of CFB partying.

Glad you had a good trip and were treated well. It was a great day of college football and a fantastic victory for you guys.

The Alabama/LSU game in Tuscaloosa has been one of my favorites ever since I was a little boy.

Is Louisiana that flat? I guess technically Birmingham area is around the beginning of the Appalachian mountains.

My experience, November 8, 1986 Birmingham, AL.
Alabama beat LSU in every stat but the score. Tigers won 14-10. My friend and I were in the middle of the Bama side on about the 35. We were cheering hard for the Tigers, not negative against Bama but positively HARD for the Tigers. Had no issues in the stadium (cops were watching us, and probably not for protection ) but had a lot of verbal shite-talking walking back to the car. Had to run for our lives after getting our food and yelling Geaux Tigers in a Tuscaloosa McDonalds. We were young, dumb, quick, and lucky on the field and losing the pursuit from Mickey D’s.

But honestly. Lesser fans would have punched my lights out. We were cheering HARD!

It is that flat (and depressing to me). Only slight hills in the northern part of state and around Tunica. Birmingham’s Appalachian ridges are underrated. Most people don’t think about that part of Alabama in Louisiana bc most only think of mobile or Alabama beaches

That's a pretty shitty story. You continually harass an old, decrepit woman by screaming at her when lsu did well and you have some Alabama fans arrested for mistakenly sitting in the wrong seats.

Pitiful!

The lights may suck on TV but they are kickass in the stadium.

At the end of the second half over stadium speakers: "Welcome to the Jungle" .... boom, LIGHTS ..... blew my mind.

My dumbass sophomore self and my dumbass friend almost got murdered in the Arby's on University in 2005. Our faces were still painted and we went there to wait for my girlfriend's sister to pick us up. We walked in swinging dick but left with tucked tail. Those perturbed Bama fans taught me a lesson in surroundings that day.
