a lot of people had Arkansas and Auburn as preseason contenders for the conference

Show me anyone who picked Auburn to win the SEC? We were probably consensus top 5, but that doesn't mean contender

When Pearl signed that big arse contract, those were Auburn’s expectations then, to compete annually for the conference, am I wrong?

I don’t understand some of Bruce’s end game decisions and player personnel sometimes. Are AU fans happy with it?

Bruce has always had some frustrating and questionable in game coaching decisions, but it's hard to argue with his results at Auburn all things considered. He's earned a long leash, so fans are more forgiving and forgetting than we would be for other coaches

I mean he has won it three times so yeah it’s not really a crazy expectation. But sometimes it just doesn’t workout that way? What are you trying to get at?

First you were saying we had outside preseason expectations, now you're talking about expectations bc of his contract extension he signed a year ago. Which is it? You should make up your mind about what point you want to make

Do you really have such little regard for the Texas A&M basketball team that you want to act like other teams should reneg their coaches contracts when y'all beat them?

Bruce has a huge lifetime contract and all things considered his fans give him a lot of leash to operate, yet in the midst of a wide open portal his team is riding 4 losses in the last 5 games and edging closer to the NIT. Gotta taste a little bitter to a fanbase that has clung to basketball so dearly the last few years, no?

Absolutely the losing sucks and is disappointing. Do you think we should fire him or something? I’m confused as to the point you’re trying to make.

No one is saying Pearl should be fired. We are simply making the observation that this year Pearl has been out coached by teams that have less talent (hs rankings) than Auburn. It reeks of Auburn underperforming this year. What’s changed from last years team?

So you don't watch Auburn basketball. We get it.

We are almost dead last in 3 pt shooting. We have no shooters.

Big difference is losing Kessler and Javari. Kind of a big deal

You don't understand how bad Auburn basketball was before Pearl.

Plus the league as a whole is leaps and bounds better than it was 5 years ago

Uhhh losing two first round draft picks.

We are underperforming compared to pre-season expectations, but the two freshmen have not contributed like Bruce had hoped. Traore isn’t ready and Westry has been sidelined with a knee issue. shite happens and the league is still pretty solid. Tough to win games on the road with our roster right now but they are close.

On the other hand, Arkansas had injuries, freshmen, slumped, and now seem to have figured it out. They were underperforming for bit and, if they pull this one off vs Kentucky, will have some momentum.

After all of that, your guys still fight like hell till the end. Can’t knock them for laying it on the line every time they take the court.
