And he will also be a top 10 pick.

Alabama fans, I really can’t believe it took so long to replace Jalen Hurts. We’ve said it since last year; he can’t pass well, but he was a great runner. That being said, he limited Alabama’s offense severely. A few of us made it clear that we thought he would be a starter sooner rather than later, and now it’s his team.

It’s also comforting to see a great young man succeed on the big stage. That’s what he is. Not just a great player, but a humbled and great young man with unfailing faith. I love it. Especially after seeing Mack Wilson, Tony Brown and Mekhi Brown make total fools out of themselves last night with general thuggish behavior.

As for the QB swap, I don’t think it was as risky as some make it sound. It had to be done. As fans, we knew that, and we aren’t even on staff. It was obvious from day 1 that Tua was a much more advanced passer than Jalen is almost every way. More accurate, more arm strength, more pocket presence and the guy throws a much more catchable ball (ball placement is superb).

Furthermore, #14 for Georgia might be worse than Neiko Thorpe and watching Georgia teams collapse is always fun.

Looking forward to next season, and Alabama trying to get revenge on Auburn.

I think Tua is a wee bit short to be a Top 10 pick, and he’s a lefty, so that might not help either. But he has an elite release and seems to see and anticipate the field better than any QB than I can remember at Bama. Looking forward to seeing him play for a full year.

Nope. qbs at other prominent programs will get far more passing opportunities and play lesser competition. He could win it, but the odds are against him.

Height could definitely be a deciding factor. If he learns how to navigate the pocket like other shorts QBs, like Drew Brees, he might be OK.

He needs to improve his deep ball a tad bit, but that will come with more experience and now he will be able to gel with the first team offense and receivers.

Umm Alabama fans have said the same shite. A few of you made it clear? Lol. Everyone knows he’s not a great passer. You didn’t think of anything no one else thought of.

Lol this is the first time in Sabans career that he’s had his hands on a truly elite QB, I don’t see anyone topping them while Tua is around

Yep, right after he lit up USC in his first game. Tua had a good half. He did make several freshman mistakes that he should be able to work through by getting more reps with the starters. I am also impressed with the freshman players especially the receivers, that Tua will get to work with the next couple of years. Najee running the ball should take some heat off him in the play action too.

Najee Harris might. Doubt a QB will ever win a heisman under the Dark Lord's reign.

Seriously, AJ was in line to win it (possibly) until the Kick 6 occurred.

Most Alabama fans defended Jalen Hurts, especially early on. It was only as of late where most wanted Tua.

What was Jalen Coker’s record? Blake Sims’ record? Greg McElroy’s record? AJ McCarron’s record (even though he is the best in this list)?

At Alabama, the record has more than not been indicative of the team, not the QB.

False, because SABAN. He does have all the talent in the world and is capable of it for sure. I just don't see Saban letting him go crazy running their offense.

No he's not. Alabama is 24 and fricking two with Hurts under center. Hurts is no more 24-2 than Brad Bozeman or Minkah Fitzpatrick is 24-2. You make it sound like he's a starting pitcher in baseball instead of a QB. Jalen Hurts is a class act and has played reasonably well for Alabama, but the difference in talent between him and Tua is obvious to even the most casual observer.

Hurts was hot garbage in the first half. Playing Tua was a pure desperation move that happened to pan out.

He won't win the Heisman just because he wont get the stats. He will be out of most games by the 3rd. Also I don't have a ton of faith in Daboll. He's okay but I don'
t see him coordinating an offense that is explosive enough for a Heisman QB. And I think we will have to wait on the top 10 pick. If Baker Mayfield busts I doubt teams will ever spend a top 10 on a shorter QB ever again.

I am really interested to see how Tua develops. He reminds of Chad Kelley with how he plays. Extremely confident. Not straight line fast but strong and nimble. Velocity throws. He def has some things to work on. He missed two touchdown throws and he tries to force the ball a bit, but I think that was more him trying to will back Jalens shite show.

Overall I am scared to have to watch AU play TUA the next 3 (2?) years. He is a monster and will always be a "better than the stats" guy. My prediction for him is that he breaks the Alabama career passing touchdowns record by a couple touchdowns and I think he's gonna be regarded as one of the most dynamic QBs Alabama has had

It planned out because he had a boat load of luck. Give him credit, he was slinging it all over the field. However, UGa left about 3 picks on the field and the TD on 4th down was thrown to another WR. That dude is getting way to much hype. He threw to a guy that was blocking.

How hard do you have to try to not recognize how amazing Tua was last night? First ever meaningful snaps losing 13-0 at the half in a road game national title with your LT injured. Zero preparation or time for mental preparedness. And your supporting cast is a true freshman LT, HB, and 3 TF WR's. Unreal.
