Truth be told, A&M and Texas have been pretty much even over the past 61 years

Texas has had 10 losing seasons since 1965, A&M has 13 losing seasons.

Head-to-head overall, the Longhorns lead 76-37-5; but, since 1967 the Horns lead only 25-20. Out of A&M's 20 victories, 11 of them came in Austin.

Looking back at the series, it began to turn in the 1970's with A&M dominating in the 1980's and 1990's.

I can understand why the Sips be rattling the cages....more from nervous knees rattling the bars rather than waving a saber back and forth.

Can't wait for this rivalry to be renewed.

but, since 1967

Now I'm even more confused as to why 61 years was the number of years chosen.

Now do how many National Championships they've won in that span.

How many NCs do the Aggies have since 1965? How many times have they finished the season ranked in the top 5?

Wow, a Bama fan that can read.

I chose '67 for the second fact due to it being the win by A&M that stood out in the midst of a drought of losses to Texas. It's a mere two years from 1965, which was chosen because I love the number 61, the number of remaining hairs on my head, that's why.

Happy?

A&M has the winning record since 1975. Sip won a lot of games when A&M was fighting World Wars for their pussy asses

Did you mean since 1961?

Because that would be 61 years ago.

The reason for the lopsided series is because from 1940 (start of WWII) until 1974 (end of Vietnam war) we only beat Texas 3 times. Some people say because Aggies were off fighting wars. I know a lot were. How much that played a part in the football series, I have no idea. I do know we didn’t let women into A&M until 1963, and Texas has since 1883. That probably played a bigger roll. Which is ironic because they probably can’t even define what a woman is any more in Austin.

From 1975 to 2011:

1975-79: A&M 3-2
1980-89: A&M 7-3
1990-99: A&M 6-4
2000-09: Texas 8-2
2010-11: 1-1

I think had we been playing the last 10 years we could have closed out the 2010’s 7-3 or 6-4, but who knows. It’s a rivalry.
