Hopefully this applies to college football as well. But it wouldn’t be so bad if it had to start a month later. As long as we still have a season.

“In a conference call with major league sports commissioners on Saturday, President Donald Trump said he believes the NFL season should start on time in September, sources familiar with the call told ESPN.
Trump also said he hopes to have fans back in stadiums and arenas by August and September, sources said, though it is currently unclear if medical experts find that to be a realistic timeline amid the current coronavirus pandemic.
NBA commissioner Adam Silver told those on the call that the leagues were the first to shut down and that they would love to lead the way in starting the economy once there was an "all clear" from public health officials, sources familiar with the call told ESPN.
The NBA was the first league to suspend play on March 11.
Trump also raised the idea of the leagues working together to lobby for tax credits that used to exist for fans, such as the ability to deduct concessions and tickets from taxes, sources said. That would be a way for leagues to jumpstart fans' ability to return to stadiums in a difficult economy.
The call included 12 major sports commissioners and top executives, including the NFL, NBA, Major League Baseball, NHL, Major League Soccer, WNBA, WWE Wrestling, the PGA Tour, UFC, IndyCar, LPGA, and Breeders Cup, according to a White House pool report.“

Honestly what we need to do by then is tell the old people to quarantine and let the rest of us build herd immunity by catching it. Once that happens we can’t spread it to them once they get out. Many of us have already had it, don’t realize it, and posses the antibodies. A vaccine won’t be here for another year and a half so I’d forget about that for a while. With herd immunity + the great treatment options including hydroxychloroquine/zpac we would be fine.

Like I said yesterday, the economy can't handle people staying at home for another 5 months. People that think football is not happening aren't using common sense. We aren't going to turn ourselves into Somalia over a virus with a 99 % survival rate.

College football will 100% be affected and at the very least will have an abbreviated season.
If NFL happens, it will be without fans and with a lot of money invested by the league to make sure players are not spreading CV.
The vaccine will not happen until at least December. Even if we are mostly back to normal before that, massively crowded events will still be banned out of fear of another outbreak. You think what's happening now is bad for the economy? If it happens again, the economical repercussions would be unimaginable.

The old and pre-existing that survive this will only be temporary because they aren’t allowing the younger/healthier people to build up a herd immunity. A partial quarantine is more effective as far as saving lives go.

No he didn’t and you’re an idiot. He said the media politicizing the virus is the hoax not the virus itself.
He also said that it would be nice to open by Easter. He never said it was definitive.
