True "standout" QB debate: Who is worse, Kellen Mond or Felipe Franks

The only game the two played against each other produced some truly mediocre stats in a 19-17 A&M win.
Kellen Mond: 8-24-1 for 180 yards and 0 TD, 15 carries for 52 yards and 1 TD
Felipe Franks: 18-27-2 for 135 yards and 1 TD, 18 carries for 97 yards.

Monde is worse, but has more upside. Monde refuses to take what he defense gives him. He only wants to throw downfield , regardless of the coverage. When he has and time and an open receiver downfield , he is not accurate. If he would hit 70 -80 percent of the open guys or take the underneath routes given to him , he would be a top 2 QB in the SEC. Frank’s will at least take the underneath stuff.

To be honest, I would take Franks over Mond any day for our 4th string back up!

Mullen made Franks Serviceable. We should really look at coaching here since Mullen is very smart with qbs and Jimbo is a washed up divorced alcoholic.

Monds. If Mullen cant make you competent...then no one in college can.

We talking about Kellen Mond? He is the king of the 7-8 slant or curl, and we lament he never throws downfield.
