I'm trying to keep my optimism in check but it's hard. There are a handful of coaches I really like, Musselman is one, but I wouldn't trade any coach in the country for Beard. I've never felt more confident about the future of a big 3 sport at Texas.

Beard is a hell of a coach. His teams are tough, and he seems like a great dude. Hate that he's at Texas.

That's just dumb. Texas baseball has 79 conference titles, 6 national championships, 6 runner-up finishes, & 37 college world series appearances (next closest is 25), and is #1 in Baseball Americas preseason rankings.

Yeah I have heard this story about 100x from Tech fans...a week after telling me Chris Beard was a God in Lubbock and would never leave for Austin
Mark Adams is a great coach but it's absurd to say he is the reason for Beard's success. Mark Adams is 44-90 as a D1 head coach...Beard has won immediately at every stop.
Musselman is a great coach, not saying Beard is better, I am saying he is a better fit for Texas. Texas grad, knows the problems within the program, and his favorite place in the world is his ranch outside of Austin.
