I'm traveling to Baton Rouge this weekend. I'm looking for some good ideas and venues for places to eat, and entertainment. State will be playing LSU, and since State will be up by at least 21 at half, I'll be in need for some other things to do in Baton Rouge to keep me entertained. All of the "people" in that city will be centralized in Tiger Stadium, so I figured this would be a great time to see the city without its inhabitants making it normally miserable to visit. Since the economy is not doing too well, and the corndog supply low, what is the next best food to find there? Is there an app I can download to translate your language there to English? Just fill me in on what I need to do to prepare. I want this experience to be good...Baton Rouge needs some good tourist reviews, and I could be your first. So make these good.

Not a good start on your favorite things to eat there. That's not going to get you any good ratings.

We have a great Applebee's off bluebonnet. Be sure to take a relaxing stroll through the President streets just north of LSU after the MSU victory.

Everything you're looking for is north of LSU.

Fair warning
Don't think the same fans you meet on Friday will be the same LSU fans on saturday. They are generally courteous and fun to be around on friday. Then "They" morph into some vile piss balloon throwing creature that oozes moist fluids from all of their pores and it smells so foul even death is envious.

You can pretty much eat anywhere....hell McDonald's in BR will be better than McDonald's in Starkville.

BUT if you want a real rec then I'd certainly give the Chimes at the North Gates a try. They have damn good food and a great tap list.

Since the Ole Miss fans were concerned about murder and STDs before their visit, make sure not to forget your piece or anal condoms.

Louisiana Lagniappe is probably one of the best things going in Baton Rouge right now for seafood. Especially the fish papilloute or something like that. It's Fish stuffed with crab and shrimp and baked in parchment bag. Unbelievably good. The place is packed always and no reservations. Last Friday night had a slew of UGA fans in there which is unusual as it's usually only locals.

BRQ is another newer place in BR with BBQ and seafood. Championship quality BBQ but with a Cajun twist.

The Chimes and Parrains are always good recommendations. The blackened alligator or boudin balls are where its at.

If you want Oysters, Acme Oyster house or Phil's Oyster bar are both great.

I was about to give you real tips and pointers but then you went off the rails. Idk what yalls problem is or what LSU did to make y’all hate us so much.

Yes y’all whipped our asses last season. It was a big win for y’all. I really don’t see why all of you people are so mad at LSU though.

Lol, this is where you're gonna be at halftime. It's exit 159, don't miss it through your tears:
