If the rumors are true about A&M departing, then we wish them well and thank them for being the stepping stone the conference needed toward lucrative expansion with Texas and Oklahoma.

Texas would hurt LSU a lot more than they'd hurt A&M. If A&M can't compete at this point, this will be as good as they'll get. On the other hand we are going to run into a lot of issues with Texas in general unless Alabama, Florida, and Georgia can control their ego better than Oklahoma who's been their punching bag.

Not worried about Texas in the slightest to be honest. When was their last Big 12 championship? The only decent win in the last 10+ years is a Sugar Bowl over Georgia team that had most sitting out

I'm not really discussing Texas from an on the field perspective. Look how they destroyed the Southwest Conference and Big 12 now. That's the bigger danger than losing a few games.
