CarAV - career approximate value. The Career AV is computed by summing 100% of the player's best-season AV, 95% of his second-best-season AV, 90% of his third best, and so on. The idea is that the Career AV rating should weight peak seasons slightly more than "compiler"-type seasons.

AV - approximate value. This is our attempt to put a single number on each player-season since 1960 so that we can (very approximately) compare across years and across positions. See this blog page for all the details.

State is very bi-polar when it comes to NFL production. Players are either in the league for 1 year, or they are highly valuable players. Hardly any in between anymore.

NFL teams love drafting State D-line because there is such a long history of good talent mixed with work ethic. Definitely our strongest position in the league.

Now do players that people have heard of.

Guarantee you half the LSU fan base doesn’t even know who those characters are

Of course we do. They are all HOF(or soon to be) offensive linemen. You know more than skill players matter right?

That's your play?

I would've expected something like "DBU What??? frick You!"

It seems strange to see LSU up there with 3 OLs, and no DBs.

They’re fairly well known, I’ve only been an LSU fan for 5 months and I know of all of them.

From my point of view it is always great see LSU at the top of most any ranking. That being said someone has way too much time on their hands to come up with this totally irrelevant shite.

The always-arse-hurt fourthreeforty chimes in with another LSU zinger.

Meanwhile, in the real world, LSU fans continue to clamor for Mawae to coach at LSU.

Now that the troll that derailed the thread is behind us....

SOG, I’m assuming you dropped the data for each school into a csv/xlsx file.

If so, out of curiosity, what would the player average for each school be? Or what about the average if we removed the players with 0s?

I thought about doing that but didn't in the moment, and I've seen deleted the excel files.

You can actually download them from the website pretty easily.
