Should've added North Carolina instead.

When Vandy stormed the court against UF and a student got punched by a UF player, guess who was storming the court right with them? Yep, Old Gordo.

Here's hoping he keeps that tradition going!

Anybody want to call up Clem Haskins and ask how well those Big Ten athletes in Minnesota read and write?

And how does a grand intellectual like Maurice Clarett make it into such a hallowed institution like Ohio State with such high standards?

Give me a fricking break.

I mean for the SEC to be full of a bunch of ignorant Southerners it's routinely glossed over that one of the worst academic scandals ever occurred at a Big Ten school.

Yes, let's go after that bastion of academic integrity.

He took a hell of a shot at Louisville too. Apparently called them out individually over their academics.

He singled out Louisville, then Kentucky, then made the joke about the rest of the SEC.

During his comments to the athletic council, Gee also questioned the academic integrity of schools in the Southeastern Conference, and the University of Louisville.

quote:

The top goal of Big Ten presidents is to "make certain that we have institutions of like-minded academic integrity," Gee said. "So you won't see us adding Louisville," a member of the Big East conference that is also joining the ACC.

quote:

After a pause followed by laughter from the audience, Gee added that the Big Ten wouldn't add the University of Kentucky, either.

quote:

During the meeting, Gee also said he thought it was a mistake not to include Missouri and Kansas in earlier Big Ten expansion plans. Missouri has since joined the SEC.

quote:

"You tell the SEC when they can learn to read and write, then they can figure out what we're doing," Gee said, when asked by a questioner how to respond to SEC fans who say the Big Ten can't count because it now has 14 members.

Anybody with half a brain know the only reason why the SEC snatched up Mizzou is because the B1G was going to get them within 2-3yrs. I heard people mentioning Jr membership, but I heard Mizzou didn't go was because Nebraska was throwing a fit, didn't want Mizzou to come along.

ETA: So in reality the SEC figured out what the B1G was doing.

Better than having a school in your conference that rapes boys.

I didn't see the comment about Kentucky.

It's a shame we can't back out of the Champions Classic. Let those Big Ten motherfrickers flounder when they need to fill an OOC spot for their basketball RPI.

ETA: I wouldn't schedule another Big Ten team, especially Ohio State, until I got a public apology either.
