College Choice has A&M at #5 nationally

Should be higher than 16th IMO

Didn't realize TAM's engineering program was that good.

I saw who started this thread and figured you found some shitty list that had Bama higher than us. I am disappointed

Much has to do with petroleum engineering in College Station
(Insert petroleum jelly / TAMU joke here)

I think that is graduate. However, another list where Clemson's engineering program is outclassed.
Sad!
Sad!

I know the UT engineering program is a 5 year deal that comes with a masters. Lists kind of don't make sense when it says top undergraduate program but includes a doctorate, which would be a graduate degree. Maybe I'm missing something

The "non doctorate" list is basically just "colleges" that don't have graduate programs I guess. Couldn't tell you, not an engineering guy, just a laugh at Tillman guy.

Not saying LSU is top 30, but 91 is a bit ridiculous. there are a lot of schools on that list that I seriously doubt are doing better than LSU engineering alums. Plus we just built a 100 million dollar facility

Those are sort of my feels with Auburn at 58 tbh

this list just ranking selectivity, not the quality of the program. the liberal arts people at US News can't rank engineering programs with credibility.
Clemson has a large engineering program but it is located in the 23rd most populated state, so it can't be selective as other programs that are smaller but located in large population states.
if Clemson and G Tech swapped places but everything else about the schools stayed the same, CLemson would be ranked higher than G tech, due to the selectivity advantage of being in a large population state.

by your logic, sure, clemson could very well move up some in the rankings. ahead of Georgia Tech though? C'mon

most of the reason Gtech is higher is selectivity.
I'm guessing you don't have an engineering degree. another US News rankings parrot. :)
