247 rankings
Vs performance
Max Prep season stats
I'm not huge into the "star" power, but I get most are. I prefer, "what they have done" and where they accomplished it at.
You do you, but here is the break down.
1- Bama landed Milroe.
Not anywhere near the top passer throwing 1275 yards this season. He is a dual threat which leads me to question what we are doing in the future. On the ground, 300 yards.
Passing TDs 13, INTs 2
2- LSU landed Garrett Nussmeier.
He had roughly 2800 yards passing and does not break the top 50.... nor top 90 (that's ok... ours.. well.. 1275 yards).
Passing TDs 33, and 5 ints.
3- MS ST landed Robertson
#2 in the nation in passing. Finished with 4500 yard passing....with 65% completed and Almost as many yards rushing as our guy... 233 yards.... How is he not a 5 star?
Has HS career 12,150 passing yard, 65% completion ratio. 147 TDs passing..
Passing Tds 58--- ints 7
You can list where your QB is. I stopped there when I saw the stats of the UF and UT guys. When your QB's career TDs thrown is less than the MS ST recruit did in one year... Ouch.
Hats off to Ms ST. I thought your freshman did pretty damn good, but it looks like this will be the Leach guy. Maybe the highest rated he's ever had.

It would be silly to put a lot of stock into raw high school stats for a high school QB. They're paying vastly different levels of competition. They are playing with vastly different talent (or lack thereof) around them. I'd be much more interested in how they played in showcases with elite talent around the country than trying to guess how their high school stats will translate to college football. High school stats for football are almost useless IMO

26 interceptions in high school?? That's not good.

Yet 247, ESPN, rivals do it every day.

Not really. Look at the stats from the top prospects in each class. Many are very average on their face. They put way more stock into how these kids perform at showcases and camps (and even their offer sheets)

Stowers is a beast. Easily the best SR QB in Texas this year.

Stowers hurt most of his SR year. Came back from a nasty injury, and only time will tell how much it is an issue. His measurables are undeniable though
Injury and Comeback
I'm rooting for this kid, and would even he went to LSU.
