Really young, trendy hire. Big into analytics. Riskier hire than I was expecting Stricklin to take, but given the speed at which he moved he must really like the guy.

He was an assistant under Bruce his first season or two at Auburn.
I was hoping to keep him tucked away somewhere Auburn could pull him from when Pearl eventually retires.

We hired Donovan at 31, Mike White was under 40, and now Golden is 36.

While his HC experience is a little thin, he’s well thought of and in an up and coming position in coaching. And knows the SEC.

Seems like a few years ago i felt old when i was older than the players that i was watching. Now im older than some of these coaches...damn.
