A dark day for the conference as a whole. We lost this sweet prince following a loss to Missouri (50-17). He finished with a 34-27 overall record at Tennessee, 14-24 in conference.

There was talk of him landing another job in the MAC or even the PAC12 but, my sauces went dark. Only thing I have heard since was hushed whispers claiming he washes cars in Alabama now.
Where ever he is, I hope he's happy
RIP Butch, gone but not forgotten

You don't make a major financial decision at 2:00 AM like a flowbee suck cut and not make it a lifestyle.

Imagine him not blowing 4th quarter leads to OU, UF, and Bama in 2015. He would've got the Gus treatment and be on the sideline here still most likely. Sheesh.

They ended up replacing Butch with Pruitt. So was it a "dark" day or a "hilarious" day?

I dunno. Pruitt did just snag a signature win over Kentucky...

Kentucky is a signature win.

For Tennessee.

I um... think this is the point where "Kentucky has arrived" and "Tennessee is departing" intersect, actually.

^Went on the road as 16+ underdog and beat a ranked Auburn and yet you try to make a ranked UK team his signature win.

All things being equal, I don't know if I'd want Gus's signature on a dive bar napkin honestly, much less my signature win.
