Overall wins sure, but not conference wins.
They barely make 800 of those if you throw in the 12 years they were in the old Southern Conference (SEC predecessor).

Alabama has drawn me to football this year as a new football fan but I guess I'll watch some alabama basketball as well. Although it will be tough to find time for it between my futbol and football schedule.

Bama basketball has never been elite level good in hoops but they've never been Vandy football bad in it either
Going back to the founding of the Southern Conference (1921), they've only had 15 seasons with losing records (overall, not conference only).
You rack of a lot of wins that go unnoticed when you're consistently fair-to-middling.
