Arkansas vs. Vanderbilt
Tennessee vs. State
Aces going for each team in matchups we didn't see in the regular season. Who wins?

Great thread. Tournament teams are different than regular season teams. I think MSU with their deep arm talent will surprise people.

Will be interesting to see how serious a team like Ark or Vandy take this tourney
Do you rest pitchers to get them ready for regionals
Ark and Vandy are already national seeds
Tenn and Miss St could improve their seeding with a sec tourney title

Personally, I think all the teams that have a regional locked up should send their walk-ons and second-tier freshman to Hoover to get some experience. Don't even send your starters. Not worth it - injury risk, fatigue, etc.
This is my totally unbiased and not in any way looking for ways to win the tournament point of view. Cross my heart and hope to die.

All four are already national seeds. Ole Miss is trying to get that 8th one.

Anytime someone says they're not taking this torney seriously, I chalk it up to excuse-making. Everyone is taking the tourney seriously because everyone wants to win it. When you hear guys here talking about saving pitching or resting players, they're laying the foundation of excuses if they lose.

Yeah. These people are more casual college baseball fans. This is your first look at how your staff and bats will look for regionals. The worst thing you could do is get your guys out of rhythm.

I know they are ranking 1-16 now but I promise you 5 SEC teams won't get national seeds. 4 very likely.

Yeah, almost 100% that won't happen. Most likely to not make it happen is State, b/c who the heck are you even going to pitch against a hot Florida team?
Worry about winning your first game.

Arkansas, Vandy, and TN are already national seeds. State probably is too, although it could get dicey if they don't win at least 1 game this week. I still think they're a lock, but they probably shouldn't try to find out.

But you do have great attendance, and this will play in the decision I think, provided you don't one and done in Hoover.

Meh... Conference tournaments mean very little. They're exciting, but no one remembers who won. I can tell you who won the last few regular seasons, but I don't remember who won the tournaments, because they're meaningless.
