Thoughts on SEC Storied last night re 12th Man Kickoff Team

1. Very cool idea and glad it is credited, for the most part, to an idea spawned by the student body.
2. The players who participated seemed all to be just what you would have hoped them to be. No psychotics that I saw on the show, just ordinary guys, ordinary size who took a beating just to get on the field, then performed.
3. The two guys I appreciated the most, (a) the guy who made the first ever 12th Man Kickoff Team tackle and, (b) the guy that stole Tim Brown's towel.
4. Give credit to Sherrill for moving forward with the idea, after he'd been inspired by the students. However, he truly comes across as an A Hole.

One of my favorite traditions in the littany of Aggie traditions.
Interesting enough, the book this was based off of, also called No Experience Required, was published by my wife's former step-father. Have a copy of it signed by Coach Sherrill and quite a few of the walk-on players.
Though we weren't even dating at the time (I was 21, she was 13) our families were friends and I got to meet a lot of the people in their box at Kyle field. Jackie Sherril tells great stories, but has the limpest hand shake I have ever seen.

Each year there are grumblings ... “BRING BACK THE ALL WALK-ON KICKOFF TEAM,” rather than just the current singular 12th Man player.
I want to say Franchione shocked the stadium and pulled it off for a play during one game, thereby eliciting the most applause he ever received at Kyle Field.
A damn fine tradition.

Love the fact that fact that he went to the bon fire with the guy that burst into his office and helped the students
I also didnt know those guys had to do all the bullshite that comes with being a walk-on.Its bad now but it was far worse back then.Nothing more than cannon fodder and tackling dummies and nobody GAS if you get hurt.

Your public ignorance has been duly noted. SEC would not ever want Texas. Texas has bullied and truly believes they are more important than any conference they have ever belonged to. Would Bama, LSU, Auburn, Georgia, et al...let Texas determine everything about the conference? Let Texas make side deals with anyone they want to the detriment of the other universities? Texas is the fat ugly loudmouth sister that bullies everyone because she once was relevant.

I think it’s funny that a guy from a school whose record all time in the SEC is 283-400-19 has the balls to say which team should be in the conference that has been raping you for 100 years.

The Seahawks relinquished their claim in 2015 when the license agreement expired. They are now the "12's".
The Colts took that down after the cease and desist order and didn't fight it, nor did the Bills and Bears when they tried it.
