Hes a little different just like lsu's fan base could be a good match and do not think you ever need to worry about the toss dive or jet sweep in his offense
every school he's ever been at has improved during his time there. he went 84-43 at Texas Tech and in his final 6 seasons at tech finished rank 5 times

Yeah but Tech allowed Leach to do exactly what he wanted to do, without question.
LSU would excoriate him and his tactics after his very first loss..

Did I actually hear mizzou fan thinking they could get a Leach type coach? Pinkel was sick but he knew when to get out. Your campus is a train wreck. No sane football coach looks at the situation in Missouri and thinks "gee that would be a great place to recruit to".
That mess, and yes it's still a mess. Would run anybody off.

I’m sick of likeable as being a big deal. Most great ones are aholes. Give me a winner. I actually do like Leach though as entertaining. With that said I don’t think he is a good fit and fans would loathe him pretty quickly. Still superior than O, but who isn’t?

Yes, but if he tried to walk from his house he would either be shot or hit by a car. Also, a massive library does not equal a Pirate Library.
All joking aside I would love to have him, but I think he thrives on being at an underdog school where an occasional 10 win season makes him a legend. I dont think he is that concerned with recruiting grounds or pay. I think he likes being in a position where he can do his thing and be a hero. A few bad seasons where he is, is forgiven. At LSU once he got 10 wins than anything less would be called into question.
Pedo jokes aside he reminds me of JoePa in that he could stay at a program for 20 years with offers all over and never entertain leaving.

And it worked pretty damn well for the talent level.
Lord help us all if LSU hired him.
The Air Raid is slightly less effective than the spread (to mean a running qb as a feature).
Both "spread" the field, and have features that enable teams with less talent compete and maybe beat teams with more.
But I think the kinds of guys you recruit to stop spread running attacks are ideal for stopping the Air Raid.
One of the big things about the Air Raid is that it is so hard to sack the qb if he does it right and gets the ball out quickly.
But if you play teams with super athletic db's and lb's, well they get open eventually, but not in that 2 to 4 second window you want the ball gone. If it takes longer than that all those great defensive linemen this scheme kind of lets you negate, start to matter.
Think with Air Raid if you play a disciplined defense with great athletes you need a certain kind of guy who can beat db's in a hurry. A guy like Crabtreee was ideal. Even if he was covered he was open, you know?
