Thoughts on cheating and success...

Getting this off my chest with all of the will wade posts.
If you want to be a top tier program in basketball or football, you have to get the best players you can and that means bending and sometimes outright breaking the rules... Not what a lot of board members want to hear but it's the truth. If you want your program to do things the "right way", you should be happy going .500 in the SEC every year.
All of the top programs do it and fans don't care as long as championships are brought home.

I haven't seen Jay Wright landing a bunch of top classes.

We owe Bruce Pearl for the lawyer recommendation.

what? Everyone with a brain knows that all successful teams cheat to varying degrees. I think it's only the really old timers that think most people still do things the "right way".

Breaking the rules isn't always cheating. People who judge what Wade may or may not have done should learn the difference.

Villanova has the 3rd ranked class in the nation for 2019 according to 247 sports.
I'm sure there are a few exceptions every year but to be a top team consistenty you have to get your hands dirty.

Cheating, in sports and games, means breaking the rules.

Cheating is OK when it benefits my team. When it benefits your team its disgraceful

That's the only reason why Alabama is good at football, because they cheat.
They puff their chests in other sports, but they're all in with football.

Ok...and the only reason LSU was good in basketball this last year was why??

We some people like Bryant was more about finding loop holes and doing things that people hadn't thought anyone would do and didn't have rules at the time for it. That's technically not cheating.
Maybe Wade's strong arse offer was a loophole he found and not cheating by today's rules.

The current 2019 ranking isn’t indicative at all of Wright’s typical classes.

this needs to be stickied and I might literally print, laminate and frame for little CBs room.

Last 5 classes for Villanova
3rd
9th
29th
45th
28th
Not all world but definitely above average. Again, there are exceptions every year but i don't think a school like Texas tech can be a top 10 basketball school every year with the lack of 4 and 5 star talent they have.

What teams in the SEC do not wear Nike, Addidas, or UnderArmour?
Posted on 4/16/19 at 1:04 pm to aujerm
Sec rant doesn’t care about cheating until LSU does it.

Negative. Rantards are equal opportunity haters. Can you imagine the shade thrown around here if Bama or uga got busted for cheating in football?
