LSU has had some good teams the past 20 yrs. I enjoy the Bama-LSU series. Twenty years of good games doesn’t make up for the previous century of subpar LSU teams.

Bama-LSU is not a rivalry.

Bama fans are human too. Sure, they hump their sisters, but they just want to play competitive teams so they can watch good football. Not many teams like that this season.

We do not, LSU talks about Alabama all the time, so we come here to read and talk about it. After Alabama's normal victory over LSU, 95% of the Alabama here talk about the next team we play. LSU chickened out of this year, ran away screaming like a little girl.

UK and MSU had even less available, yet both played their games yesterday and they were on the road.

First, there is a pretty large split even on this board, which is NOT representative of the avg fan. Most of what you are seeing is a handful of posters (not just Bama), trolling the shite out of LSU for all of their shite talk since Clemson whipped Bama's arse. I always enjoy the LSU game. Obviously want Bama to win, but also like seeing LSU do well. There is more respect than hate there for me (and most I know over 30), so not really a vitriolic "rivalry." Au vs UT was an example of a rivalry game. I couldn't figure out who I wanted to lose more. In the end, I'm glad UT lost, but wish AU would have had more of a struggle or embarrassing moments in the win.

I think this Bama-LSU SEC rant nonsense will pass. Hopefully sooner than later as it is out of control on both sides. But, it doesn't look promising.

Next, going a whole 3 years without a championship will hardly be demoralizing. Lots of good teams this year. Top 5 have a lot of parity. As open a year to win as any in a while.

That said, extending LSUs home losing streak to Bama, going 9 of last 10, and potentially solidifying one of the worst title defenses since the Marlins first WS win may be devastating to many here. And, that is irrespective of what happens to Bama in the SEC CG, vs AU or Arky, and/or in the CFPs.
