They have nothing to gain from this tournament. They are already a lock for a national seed. It really doesn't matter. Sorry that hurts your feelings.

The SECT is only good for teams on the bubble and maybe improving your seeding
It’s cool to win it, but Arkansas is a top 8 seed. I don’t think being bounced from the SECT stings too much

It means that LSU is a good baseball program? There’s your validation.
Again, it’s good and all to win. But nobody cares if you lose except for teams that needed to win more to get in to the NCAAt

That’s why LSU is a better program than the rest of the SEC over the years. 19 times in the finals with 12 titles. I’m willing to bet they were in the top 8 seeds the majority of those times and still wanted to win the entire thing. Little things like this let you know why they’re more successful over the years than the rest.
