You know, the diamond jokes were funny awhile ago. But seeing this, I'm questioning if Mullen is truly just that bad at recruiting. If you can't convince people to stay at UF, you have a problem.

We will get a 4 star in his place. The coaches probably told this kid he wouldn’t find playing time. McElwain was king of getting 3 stars. Mullen going all in.

He's a big recruit for us Mississippi folk, but it sounds like he ain't worth shite at Florida anyways. I don't see this as a big deal for Mullen.

That was the composite rankings, meaning other services have him lower than 247.
Though 247 does still have him ranked as a very high 3 star, basically a 4. He is the 28th overall player nationally, and is the #2 safety in the country.
I do find it a little weird he is ranked so highly on a national level as a 3 star.
Edit: Oh, JUCO rankings. That explains why he was 28th. Maybe he is just average then.

This was a bad take by the old staff, he wasn't going to be welcomed into the class under the new coaches. Told to find a new landing spot.

Chase and Copeland only bad loses during coaching change. This kid was pushed out. No one is mad here.
