Ain't nuthin like partyin' on frickin' Saturday afternoon in TTown, slammin' Busch Lights in the parking lot, then heading to The Houndstooth to inject Yellowhammer shots into our cocks, and then catching some band play "Dixieland Delight" and "Sweet Home Alabama" at The Dixie yAWL!!!

Los Angeles? The frick. Not really a college town.

College towns are places where there's the University and everything in town is associated with it.

If you list LA your list might as well be NYC, Seattle, San Francisco, Boston, etc. Any big city with a college.

this. A college town is a town that without the school would be nothing. When you think of Los Angeles ucla probably isn't the first thing that comes to mind.

Hell would you even consider smaller cities like Austin and Knoxville college towns? Same goes for Columbia, SC. Yeah they may not be massive cities like LA and yeah epicenter of the city is the school, but they aren't college towns in the sense that an Athens or an Oxford is where the school pretty much is the entire community.

I'm in grad school at USC, and there is nothing about the area around the campus that makes for a great "college town."

A great "ghetto," perhaps...
