This may be the worst linebacker/safety read on an option I've ever seen

Whoever #25 is, he shouldn't be out there.

Look how bad that defense looks physically.

Zero good football players on the field.

Knew the play you were talking about before opening the thread.

- #21 reads the wrong way

- #13 has the edge sealed and then tries to run up field letting the RT shove him out of the play, giving the back an escape wide (that he didn't need)

- #25........my goodness son

- CB gets sealed off

The blocking though. . .

How are they that much more physical?

The effort by the DE and corner on that side is so pathetic.

Were they gassed on that play?

Goes for the wrong gap, takes terrible angle to get to him after he realized he fricked up.

That little jump/hop thing he did was hilarious.

Tennessee sucks. Look at the defensive line classes Tennessee has signed since 2015. Not a single serviceable d lineman on the roster.

It’s why I can’t imagine why anyone thought Tennessee was capable of winning more than 5 or 6 games.

He literally looks at the running back running outside right, and says “Hmm let me take this inside gap and then not move even when the guy doesn’t come near me”

Yeah I have no idea who it is either. Only know about 10 players by jersey number. I assume one of the freshman DBs?

Pruitt has coached solid defensive units everywhere he's ever been in his life. I know these have less talent, but I'm pretty shocked at how sloppy and out of place they look (and looked at times last year).

I assume he is less involved day to day with defense being the head coach, but man, Saturday was pathetic.

Settle down, now. Those guys on defense have some solid blocking skills.

Is it bad that I know most of my team by jersey number?

He bit on the QB. With 20 people in front of him. Not really noteworthy. Just undisciplined.

The LB isn't noteworthy.

The safety is pretty damned noteworthy.

Is 25’s only job there to plug that hole that opens up directly in front of him?

If so, wow.

I think that QB could have also made a chunk play by keeping it.
